Our coffee crossed continents ☕🌍 Sailing the Bosphorus in Istanbul, making an Aeropress between Asia & Europe. Two continents. One coffee.

Currently soaking up everything Istanbul has to offer ☕️ Walking into Good Coffee Roasting Co felt like discovering a gem. Mustafa showed us around his coffee shop and roastery, and sat with us as we interviewed him - sharing his thoughts on the specialty coffee market in Turkey

5 hours at the border… finally made it into Turkey 🇹🇷 Only to realise diesel was pouring down the side of the van from our jerry cans 😩 Not quite the arrival we had in mind…

How’s it going so far? Between the driving, homeschooling, and no real routine, it’s been a big adjustment for the kids… but they’re getting there. Some days are easier than others - and that’s okay.

One month ago we left the UK with a simple mission: deliver a bag of coffee to Australia without getting on a plane - with our three kids in tow. So, what have we learnt about them?

First time in Skopje and of course the first stop had to be coffee. ☕️🇲🇰 Found one of the Top 100 coffee shops in the world, tucked right into the heart of the city. The vibe, the craft, the aroma - everything you want when exploring a new place.

What it’s like taking a bag of coffee through Kosovo? ☕️🇽🇰 Lovely landscapes, endless mountains, and incredible people. No planes - only land and sea as we drive from London to Australia, discovering unforgettable places along the way

The best thing about Albania was..?

Montenegro’s roads kept us on our toes - steep climbs, tight bends, and some tricky driving along the way 🇲🇪 So when we spotted a racing track on our last day, the bag had to take a lap 🏁

Last week: Milan, Verona, Venice, and stop to check out Postojna Cave. Somewhere between getting sick in the van and breaking down, the trip got a little chaotic - but the road always balances things out. Beautiful places, a few breakdowns & some incredible coffee along the way.

Great stop at Fabrika Specialty Coffee in Mostar. We had an amazing chat with Armar and Mak - always the best part of traveling is meeting passionate people who love what they do. Great coffee, great conversation, and a really welcoming vibe.

Whilst visiting Split, we popped in to see Matej at Stow Coffee Roasters. Always great catching up and enjoying some seriously good coffee.

Meanwhile back in the UK.. 🤩

Van life reality: breaking down in the middle of Croatia. Our van broke down in the middle of Croatia… The fuel gauge said we had fuel. The van said otherwise. So we spent 5 hours stuck on the roadside, waiting for help and eating dinner in the van. 😅
