I was in a hospital to visit a neighbor who just suddenly collapsed a few days ago. I was in the waiting area, sitting and watching people come and go. The place smelled of fear and hope mixed together. You could literally touch the pain on people’s faces.
I noticed a man standing near the nurses’ desk begging. I watched him wipe his tears a couple of times. His voice was low, but fear enveloped him. His wife lay on the waiting couch, weak.
I watched him step aside and sit down. He buried his face in his palms. I walked up to him and asked what the problem was. At first, he did not want to talk. Shame held his mouth. But a man who is desperately in need couldn't hold his pride.
Their daughter, a 12 year old, had medical complications. The hospital had tried to stabilize her but without money, they wouldn't go further. But the bill was beyond them. They have been there for 2 days with no treatment. Everyone they called promised to call back but no one did. He had tried everything. He had nothing left.
The wife was lying beside him, holding her small phone tightly, staring at the floor. You could tell life had pressed her very hard. She kept whispering prayers under her breath.
At this point, I was moved in tears. I have had a similar experience in the past where I watched a loved one giving up because we couldn't pay the hospital bill. Everything started playing back into my head.
I stared at him for a while and I asked him a simple question: "Do you believe in miracles?" I watched him mutter words. He couldn't reply to me. Then he began to cry. This time loudly. I held his hand and said, "let's go and see the nurse." He had thought I wanted to join him to beg.
I cleared the bill.
And then he announced to the wife what just happened. It was a delight to see her screamed for joy. She ran to me, held my hand and cried like a child. She kept saying "God bless you" in a voice that was almost gone.
I got a call from them last night to inform me their daughter has been discharged from the hospital, hale and fine. Now imagine what joy has filled my soul.
Dear readers, as I type this, my mind is still running through what I saw in that hospital. This family was just one case out of many. If you can, visit the hospitals around you once in a while. There are patients dying because they can't afford as little as the money you spend on frivolities in a day. If you're able to save one person, you save a family.

Another perfect day to clear up some common misconceptions.
Listen:
1. You don't NEED antibiotics when you have a cold.
2. You CANNOT shift anybody's womb. You cannot even reach it. Don't be stupid.
3. Diabetes is NOT caused by adding too much sugar to your garri.
4. For the last time, Typhoid is NOT malaria and malaria is not Tyforce. Stop diagnosing yourself of typhoid everytime you are ill or have a fever or stomach upset.
5. Hypertension ISN'T caused just by too much thinking.
6. You CANNOT "flush" ur system of illness by "pissing all the sickness away". They LIED to you..6. Your body doesn't need daily supplements. Just eat normally and healthy.
7. You do not need a special kind of tea to flush your system. You are not a public toilet.
8. Putting spoon in a person's mouth during a convulsion will NOT stop ANY convulsion.
9. Taking "Hampicloss" after sexual intercourse will NOT protect you from sexually transmitted infections or pregnancy.
10. Stop the daily douching and stop washing your vaginas with antiseptics. You are only exposing yourself to infections.
Oh... and this one is very important:
Slimming tea CANNOT remove all that fat. It will only make you purge till you are dehydrated (if you are very religious with it) and land you in the accident and emergency of the nearest teaching hospital to you. Go to a Gym, work out and DIET!
Pass it on if you care.

This is the week and month I prayed for O Lord.
The week when I do that six-month post-chemo review.
The week when the PET/CT will detect nothing again in my body.
The month when my oncologist will say you're finally free because the Lord has healed you of every infirmity
The month when I will always keep thanking God for breaking the yoke of sickness in my life.
Amen

Excellent question. Now read carefully:
Because
1. We humans don’t realize that LOVE in its true form is not INDULGENCE. Our definition of love is indulgence and tolerating every nonsense. That is not love. Love in its true form can be very ruthless and strict when necessary, especially for the good of the person involved.
2. Human beings don’t really know their Creator and who He is. The Almighty Father is both LOVE and EXECUTIVE JUSTICE in one. Do you know what the Sword of Justice does to transgressors against Its Will?
3. If a human father can out of love for his son, discipline him like he wants to murder him cos that is what is necessary for that child so that he doesn’t end up like the guy that was murdered at UNIBEN maningate yesterday and a human Master can pass his students through the harshest and most ruthless training out of love for them, how much more YOUR CREATOR before Whom love is not loving enough and purity itself is not pure enough and before Whom our good deeds are as dirty rags?
Despite the fact that he is Love, you should remember that He is also Executive Justice Itself. “Vengeance if mine, i shall repay” is no empty saying.
Where Justice is delivered out of Love, it is NOT to punish but to straighten and make you better. In Justice is Love and in Love, Justice resides. They are interconnected.
He who doesn’t fear the Almighty, knows him not and most human beings DON’T know Him, even though they think they do.
For when you really know Him, you would fear Him as much as you would Love Him.
Alabi@the_Lawrenz
If God is love, why should I fear him? You can’t love who/what you fear.

Five random but helpful facts:
1. You don’t lack time, you lack PRIORITIES
2. Rest is not laziness, it is STRATEGY
3. You are not behind in life. You are just comparing your chapter 2 to someone’s Chapter 20.
4. You cannot heal in the same place that broke you.
5. Comfort is the most expensive addiction.
Feel free to disagree with anyone.📌

Governance is not a noise making exercise. Leaders must show working. The schools, hospitals, roads and systems they built for the benefit of citizens must be 'visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.'

“...and it pains me that after putting in 20 years of hard work, somebody on social media with a two-minute clip will cause so much damage.
Hello everyone, my name is Maria Umeagwukadilo and I am the CEO and founder of Bon Bread. I started this business in 2006. Actually this year makes it 20 years that I have been running Bon Bread. I am a mother of two.
I started Bon Bread when my life was at its lowest. At times I couldn't even pay my house rent. Over the years Bon Bread grew from three staff to 80 staff strength today and more than a hundred extended staff workers.
Over the years I have str¥ggled. I have done my best to keep the business running. I have continuously strived to give my clients, my buyers, the best of the product I can produce. I don't take quality lightly.
From day one I have always ensured that my products meet the standard that is recommended by NAFDAC, SON and all regulatory bodies. I continually strive for freshness. In fact, my business is one of the few bakeries that does not produce bread to be sold. We produce bread by order, which means we produce every day only the bread that has been ordered.
Having explained thus far, on Monday my attention was drawn to a clip on social media. Sorry, I am analogue. I don't know much about social media, but I have young people around me, and my distributors and everyone were calling me, so my attention was drawn to it.
At first I dismissed it, but persistent calls made me look into it more. I made a call to the lady who did the clip. My intention was to ask for a meeting so we could talk through it. I wanted to understand where she got the bread from and how it could have stayed two months, according to her claim.
I totally agree that there are products in the market that can be h@rmful to health. Most of our food items are being ad¥lter@ted. But what I do not agree with is her holding up bread and saying my brand lasted two months.
She also says she did not mention any name, but how come people were calling me? I also saw in her comment section that people mentioned Bon Bread, and she even engaged those comments.
All I want is for her to show me the bread she is talking about. I just wanted to understand, but she has blocked me from speaking to her.
I also want to ask the public: whenever you see Bon Bread, please buy it. Go and test it yourself. If I say it is not true, it is my word against hers. Go and test the bread.
I told her, let’s go and test the bread together, but she is not taking my calls.
After this video, I will post all my NAFDAC registrations for the past 20 years and all my lab tests. I have nothing to hide. I eat my bread, my staff eats my bread, my family eats my bread. I cannot feed you something that will harm your health.
It pains me that after 20 years of hard work, a two-minute social media clip is causing so much damage to my business.
I have never done this before. I am forced to come here to clear the air.
I am still appealing to her to come forward and show me where she got her claim from. I am open to discussion and scrutiny.
I also want to thank my loyal Bon Bread customers. Thank you for sticking with us. I am sure we will get to the end of this matter. We will know the truth and separate facts from li£s. Thank you very much…” -
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of Bon Bread, Maria Umeagwukadilo, has broken her silence amid the ongoing controversy surrounding a viral TikTok video that questioned the safety of her company’s bread products allegedly lasting for two months.
