Relying on massive concrete drains alone simply moves the water to another neighborhood faster, whereas incorporating some “trees and grass” or green spaces directly reduces the amount of water entering those drains in the first place. 2/2

Most of you are forgetting that what causes an area to flood in the first place is a lot of water coming in too quickly so what the trees and grass do is they slow down the runoff giving the water enough time to infiltrate into the soil. 1/2

maybe do a little reading,yes it is a low lying area,and buidings blocking the natural course of the river flow is one of the main factors,but you cant dispute the fact that planting trees and grass is a factor that reduces runoff.
