@James_UTFT People quickly forgetting the fear he brings to the opposition when the ball is at his feet which creates space for others. Sign him 💯 hes a game changer even just for 10 mins off the bench in certain games

I love Jack Grealish but I don’t think we should sign him permanently. Ndiaye is by far our best player and his best position is off the LHS, we need to build the team around him not Grealish. On top of grealish’s age, injury and financial demands, it’s a poor deal. #EFC

@craigywatt1 @henrywinter To be honest I think the mistakes a ref or liner make would be and was something that seemed to happen less frequent than what we are seeing with VAR because VAR should be black and white but seems to have too much grey areas still 🤔

Premier League fans deliver damning verdict on VAR. 75% of 7,946 fans polled by the Football Supporters’ Association “didn’t support the use of VAR”. Too long, too forensic, too much of a joy killer, fans say. Findings shared with Premier League and PGMO. 92% of fans surveyed “agreed” that “VAR has removed the spontaneous joy of goal celebrations” (82% of them “strongly agreed”). 85% of match-going fans “strongly disagreed” with the notion that “VAR makes watching football more enjoyable”. And 83% of those watching on TV. 85% of match-going fans “strongly disagreed” that “VAR decisions are generally resolved in a reasonable amount of time”. Echoed by 83% of those watching on TV. Only 18% agreed that “VAR has improved the overall accuracy of refereeing decisions”. 72% are “concerned about the expansion of VAR beyond its current remit”. 79% “strongly disagreed” with the suggestion “that the match-going experience is better with VAR”. 67% “strongly agreed” that they preferred “watching games that are played without VAR to games with VAR”. 84% “strongly support” goal-line technology. 34% “strongly opposed” to the idea of a challenge system (two per game per team). “These findings back up the FSA's previous survey in 2021, where fans expressed misgivings about the introduction of VAR,” says Thomas Concannon, @WeAreTheFSAPremier League network manager. “The vast majority are reporting the same concerns five years on - the loss of spontaneity when celebrating goals, and an overall worsening of the match-going experience. We have shared the survey results with the Premier League and PGMO, and look forward to discussing its findings with them.” Fans surveyed of all PL clubs and all ages (Under-18 to 65+).

@Erdayastronaut I think people dont care no more, well not as much as they did in the 60s. We all watch sci-fi movies that have been there done it in a way. Also there are too many conspiracy theories about the moon landing and space that we all dont know what to believe anymore 🤔

@henrywinter VAR has made the game much too boring and instead of talking about a mistakes a ref or liner made. Where just talking about the mistakes VAR is making. It also makes the game look more vulnerable to match fixing imo

@henrywinter Used to love it when Everton had a man turn the last man, a perfect ball was put through. Then while your favourite player run through 1on1 with the keeper you would look at the liner to see if he was off side. Flag down you would be on the edge of your seat knowing it'll count..

@DaveHo1mes Unfortunately what we are seeing in the Chelsea case is the reasoning why City will only get a fine too. Its fifa showing their hand slapping of Chelsea to make the case why they will only feathers tickle City. EV and NF 💯 should feel aggrieved at this it nearly ruined them

It’s hilarious that Everton and Forest are actually getting stick from some quarters about what in all likelihood is just putting their objections officially on the record, realistically it will achieve very little. Fans need to stop allowing tribalism to get in the way of acknowledging what’s right and wrong, blatant and admitted cheating shouldn’t receive less of a punishment than accounting errors.
The Athletic | Football@TheAthleticFC

Nottingham Forest are considering launching a formal complaint to the Premier League over the punishment given out to Chelsea over undisclosed payments. Chelsea were fined £10.75m and also handed a suspended transfer ban last week after reporting that £47.5m of hidden payments to agents and players were made over a seven‑year period. Many within football regarded the punishment as being lenient, with the west London club avoiding any sporting sanction. Full story from @nottmtails ⬇️ Free to read 🎁 🔗 nyti.ms/4tvMkhB

@JustinRedford7 @OlaUTD1 @TouchlineX @TheSun Everton actually had the FA working along side them to help them not breach. Everton also informed them of the interest which was from the stadium build that would have took them across the line and breached. The FA said it was fine. Then backtracked later down then line. fyi
