@SB2749 for strikers i assume people don't treat it the same way because in that game it was very unambiguously in-your-face about how extreme everyone is, to comical levels and funny = good

@CursedMario It's funny how i've never seen the same criticism being applied to the mario strikers games even though they do the same exact thing lol

this seems to be an unpopular opinion, but i really do like smash's interpretation of mario. people say it sucks because he isn't acting all joyful like in his own games, but that's why i find it unique & interesting. it stands out effectively and i honestly wouldn't change it.

this is a birthday gift i've drawn for a friend of mine.

imagine if the episode of the super mario world cartoon where luigi says "that's mama luigi to you mario" all of a sudden gained a completely random surge of relevancy again and then people start calling the mario series "the mama luigi video games"

the designs for the back of the box on some of these i think do deserve more spotlight. i genuinely really like these.

it has been pretty well established by now on how often people used to portray mario as a psycho back in the early days of the internet, but i think what has gotten glossed over is how much even luigi was similarly portrayed as well: (10x more likely if it's SMW all stars luigi)

@TheGreatMilkas in japan they call him both koopa and daimaoh koopa, meaning "great demon king koopa", which the approximation we have of that in english would be "king koopa". so, i guess logically they'd also interchangeably use "koopa" and "king koopa"

@CursedMario do you think they'd call bowser king koopa like in the super show or just koopa like they do in japan

not that there's anything inherently wrong with this, but i wonder if there are any "japanese mario purists" out there that only calls all the mario characters with their japanese names. like, they call goombas "kuribo" and lakitu "jugemu", calls bullet bill "killer" and etc:

@NeoAyaya im cool with both names, but i must say "rockman" does make much more sense considering the theme of music the other characters have, like roll, bass, treble, blues, etc

@CursedMario I always get taken out whenever I hear an english speaking person exclusively call Mega Man "Rockman" lol

Man, I love Mario's design in the old Super Smash Flash 2
