Since many are not exactly happy with Capcom's weird decision to include Enigma in the Steam release of RE1-2-3, I might include some means to replace their bloated DRM'd launcher and make it work on Steamdeck out of the box.

@EvilCherryBerry Yeah this one is pretty bad. Normally I don't mind these mods as they can be a fun way to spice up run #546, but this is just blatantly misinterpreting the original. Everything is too dark and looks like it's covered in Vaseline, most of the lighting is impossible etc.

How do these people deal with oppressive HOA? I live in an HOA community, and I have never had them do crazy stuff here. I also think everyone in my HOA takes care of their home and it is a beautiful community. This would drive me nuts.

We had an escalation after an employee wrote “We’re behind” in a status report. The manager said it made the team look incompetent. I met with the employee and explained that direct language can be interpreted as blame, even thought it's correct. He asked if he's not allowed to say the project is behind when it is behind. I told him he can, but he should pair it with a plan forward, so the message is more positive. He sent me over new phrasing he came up with: "We're tracking behind, let's ignore HR nagging us about nonsense so we can make up for lost time." I literally started crying when I read that message. Then I composed myself and signed him up for mandatory sensitivity training. 8 modules at 1 hour each. Let's see how he likes that.

I use Claude Code every single day. It probably saves me 3-4 hours on every project. But here's what nobody says: If I didn't know Flutter, Firebase, and how backends actually work Claude would've destroyed my client projects by now. It confidently writes wrong code. It confidently misses edge cases. It confidently breaks production. You need the judgment to catch it. Judgment only comes from actually learning. AI is the gas pedal. You still need to know how to drive.

There's a new update on Silent Hill 2's SteamDB, which according to Google means a game update is imminent. It could be either a big update like a DLC or something small like a hotfix, nothing's for sure but I've never seen this type of update in SH2 before, even back when patches were released in late 2024. I've been playing Resident evil since the beginning but I skipped 7 and 8. The first damage I took in Resident Evil Requiem was from getting run over by a car. Times really have changed

@EmpireEnemyy Hi, the in game time is not accurate. It pauses during the merchant, runs during cutscenes. Hence the speedrun community uses the timer I designed that reverses those things to be in line with the timers from the rest of the series. Compare world records in game time to yours...
