Enough time has passed we need to talk abt how this show is fine acknowledging characters as murderers, harassers, and cannibals but is always weirdly hesitant to call Val a rapist. They always have Angel/other characters call him an “asshole” but never what He is, a rapist

Imagine being a SA victim, being murdered, arriving in heaven thinking "now I can rest" but end up coming face to face with your attacker because, well, everyone deserves a second chance... This makes absolutely no sense.

@EMositeCC I found it annoying that you all like it's easypeasy to get in Heaven from Hell but Pentious had to sacrifice his life without knowing what will happen to him after in order to get his redemption. We know the likes of Val and Alastor will never get in Heaven bc they won't do it.

@IkeaLiefje @Arthur65381575 Then Angel shouldn't be allowed in Heaven by that logic and while he didn't tackle yet his sin, I still think he's capable of redemption with help. And I do think his father is not in Heaven. Alastor's not interested and neither the Vees so it just won't work for them.

As for Val, he's never getting into Heaven bc he enjoys his life in Hell and he most likely will never regret his actions.

@IkeaLiefje I actually like the ideology of redemption being possible for anyone, I just think it’s always important to include that not everyone will be redeemed. A lot of people aren’t willing to put in that effort to become better and shouldn’t be given infinite chances

@IkeaLiefje Any sin is forgivable but redemption isn’t just a free ticket, it’s about if you’re willing to work for it. Everyone CAN be redeemed but it is about if they want to be redeemed or put in the effort and the victims in heaven probably don’t have hatred in their hearts

@IkeaLiefje But actually having a nuanced take it depends on the fanbase. Something like CSM has a higher barrier of entrance in reading comprehension so most people don't actually thirst for Makima. On the flipside, HH is just not good, so things like the opposite happen quite often
