In our low self we can find so many things wrong in our world, in our workplaces, in our lives. In high self we can find where we can have impact, give benefit of the doubt and take accountability for our part in our own success.

Those with a healthy work-life balance are constantly deciding where their energy is best placed. They are highly accountable and they've ditched the drama.

I have recently deepened my understanding of accountability, and have learned how to make my commitments and agreements truly count, and to take self-reflection to a whole new level. Accountability really is something we have to all work on daily.

Venting is never helpful at work. It leaves us believing we can't have impact in a situation, even if it is an unexpected problem. Next time someone comes to you to vent, try this secret weapon question to quickly move into making an impact even in the frustrating circumstances.

Venting is not the same as sharing a feeling. Sharing a feeling is one sentence. Anything after that is usually the story, judgement, and assignments of motive we add on to fuel the negative feeling.

Do you ever jump into fix instead of coaching the person in front of you with a question like, "What did you do to help?" Leave a comment on how you might handle this leadership moment differently.

If a leaders asks me for the ONE THING they can do to improve their team, I always tell them this. Remind your team of this and call them to it often. The results often blow them away. What would be your number 1 suggestion for a leader to improve their team?

Learn this lesson about how your mind works or work will be very hard for you. Most people spend an enormous amount of time in what I call low-self and constantly feel stressed, overwhelmed and frustrated at work.
