HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY! 🇦🇺❤️ Australian culture is shaped by Aboriginal heritage, British colonial roots, and waves of immigration. The moral structure is built on Christian foundations and values. It’s laid-back and community-oriented, with a ‘fair go’ attitude, and we love the underdog. We have our own words and accent-G’day, mate, she’ll be right and a dry, sometimes cheeky, larrikin wit, akin to Paul Hogan’s Crocodile Dundee or Steve Irwin wrestling a croc. Australia begins with convict origins and the spirit of the ANZAC. We celebrate Australia Day with the family and friends. We eat Vegemite on toast, meat pies (with sauce), lamb roasts, pavlova, shrimp on the barbie, shepherd’s pie, bread-and-butter pudding, sausage in bread (from Bunnings), bangers and mash, lamingtons, fairy bread, Tim Tams and ANZAC biscuits. We have shared rituals: a cold beer at the pub with AC/DC blaring. A beverage of choice with a great novel in front of the fireplace or in front of a gently blowing fan. We follow sport with fierce passion, barracking as if our lives depend on it: cricket, AFL, NRL, soccer, netball, golf, swimming, tennis, surfing, bushwalking, horse racing. Sport is an important part of Australians lives. We love the outdoors: caravanning, boating, hunting, shooting, fishing, 4WDing and camping. We live in cities, along stunning beaches, some in vast outback, bushland reminiscent of Banjo Pattersons the Man from Snowy River, Henry Lawson and Ned Kelly. Australia is built on the hard work and sweat of the Farmers. Farming is highly important in Australia, acting as a major economic driver, employer, and cornerstone of regional communities. We share the land with iconic animals: koalas, kangaroos, huge spiders, venomous snakes, sharks and magpies that swoop in spring. We value art, music, theatre productions, dance, eating out or sampling local produce, drinking only the best coffee and attend regular events especially to support our local artists. We wear thongs all year round regardless of the weather, wide brimmed hats or caps, sunnies, T-shirts with sporting clubs, flowing dresses, bikinis or togs, ‘Reece’ shirts with work boots, footy ponchos, gumboots and beanies, heavy jackets to survive the rain. Anyone that states Australia doesn’t have a culture is clearly wrong. The immigrants that have properly assimilated have embraced these values have incorporated them into their lives. We are awesome down-to-earth people. We are ‘Dinky Die’ Aussies. 🇦🇺🤗

OPINION: The Curfew Lie – It Was Never About Our Safety. As reported in todays @HeraldSun , @SkyNewsAust and mainstream media, Victorians were lied to by disgraced former Premier, Daniel Andrews. The brutal Andrews Government curfews — which cost jobs, shattered families, and locked us inside our homes for up to 23 hours a day — were NEVER based on public health advice. The bombshell 'Document 34', kept secret for almost five years and only released after a costly tax-payer funded legal battle, proves what many of us suspected all along: Disgraced ex-Premier Daniel Andrews made the call––a captains call ! Not the health department. Not the experts. It was a political decision, not a medical one. Victorians deserve to know: ☞ Why were we misled? ☞ Why did the government fight in court for years to keep this secret? ☞ How much taxpayer money was spent hiding the truth? ☞ Should criminal charges now be laid under Victoria’s emergency laws against Andrews, Allan and the Covid Crisis Committee? ☞ This wasn’t a mistake. This was a calculated abuse of power. ☞ And what more from the lockdown files are the Allan Government and Daniel Andrews hiding from us? Remember––police were ordered to enforce an unlawful curfew. Innocent people were arrested, fined, and publicly humiliated — for going outside. Small businesses collapsed. Mental health plummeted. Children suffered and tragically, Victorians suicided. And for what? A LIE. If you believed Daniel Andrews “kept you safe”, ask yourself this: Why did he and his government go to such lengths to hide the truth from you? This isn’t about “moving on”. This is about accountability. The current Premier, Jacinta Allan, sat on the same committee that made the call. She owns this too and should resign. She is unworthy to be Premier. Daniel Andrews was NEVER worthy to be Premier. The curfew scandal is a political crime against the people of Victoria. And unless those responsible are held accountable — it will happen again.
