What motivated you to learn cybersecurity? Was it money? Curiosity? The dream of working remotely? A better career? For many people, the reason they start is different from the reason they stay. Money might get you through your first course. Curiosity gets you through your first lab. But discipline is what keeps you learning when the excitement fades, the concepts get harder, and the job offers haven't arrived yet. The people who succeed in cybersecurity aren't always the smartest in the room. They're often the ones who kept going after everyone else quit. So, what got you started? And more importantly, what's keeping you going?

@Tujah6 Try hack me pre-security track is a great start for hands on learning but I you prefer learning the theory first then isc-2 CC exam.

Is there a roadmap to cybersecurity that beginners should follow? There are so many paths SOC, GRC, Cloud Security, Pentesting, DFIR, and more. If you were starting from scratch today, what would your roadmap look like?

🧑‍💻Day 3 of 90 — I ran my first security audit on myself. I used the five-step methodology, and made a one page report on my findings. I found 3 gaps across my accounts and fixed it by enabling a 2FA and updating my passwords across all my accounts before I finished the report.

Some of your data is almost certainly already floating around the dark web. Head to haveibeenpwned.com and type in your primary email. The site cross-checks it against every major breach on record and tells you exactly which companies leaked your info.

Around 82% of cyberattacks involve human error or compromised credentials. Not sophisticated Hollywood hacking. Just people clicking things they shouldn't or using passwords that are way too easy to guess. Most Cyber attacks aren't sophisticated. They rely on basic mistakes.
