🇹🇷⚡️🇮🇱— Turkish--Israeli Tensions as they struggle for dominance in the Eastern Mediterranean -- PART 1 What is happening on Turkey’s southern border poses a serious threat: Israel is forming an alliance with Cyprus, maintaining troops on Lebanese territory despite the ceasefire, and increasing its military presence near Turkish spheres of influence. - TRT World Therefore, Erdogan intervenes, warning that Turkey will not remain silent while Israel demonstrates its power to Lebanon and tries to limit Turkish influence in the region. The question of all questions is border control and who holds power in the eastern Mediterranean. Erdogan assured Lebanese President Aoun that Turkey is ready to support Lebanon’s security, while at the same time criticizing Israel’s continued military presence near the Lebanese border. The call comes just weeks after Lebanon accused Israel of violating a 2024 ceasefire agreement.
