Thank you to everyone who sent me lovely tweets about my mum, she died yesterday with us all chatting to her, at home and in bed with her cat at her feet just as it should be. Today has been ‘sadmin’ but now a picky M&S tea for everyone to keep us going

Dying from cancer is horrible. In the last probably 24/48 hours of mum’s life and it’s a cruel way to go for a woman so vibrant, funny, active and clever. Me and her cats are camped on her bed with her, I’m aimlessly prattling away at her and probably pissing her off with it
