Who else thought that the NFT space is gonna collapse in 2021? I mean, bruh, buying JPEGs for 10s of thousands of dollars, was not looking like a smart decision even amongst the hype. Especially considering that the only hope of the buyers was that they can resell it higher.

Gonna spill some beans on a secret. Cycer is actually a second project that our team would be building. The first one is an analytics company and has over 100k followers on twitter and >30k MAU. When the time is right - the two are gonna collab. Then there is no stopping us.

Cycer aims to be the go-to exchange, where one can short OR long tokens or NFTs as soon as they start trading.

This is true even for established altcoins with true solid utility like $UNI, $SUSHI, etc. They hype and they die.

Also, most new tokens start their journey on spot DEXs like Uniswap and Pancakeswap. There is nothing wrong with that, however, again, there are no financial tools to short these new tokens before they get onto major CEXs with perpetuals or futures.

Hence, the only way you can bet on new tokens' price is buying the token on a DEX and hope it goes up. If you think it's gonna go down, you are missing on gains of shorting it.

These type of tokens almost always go down in price after the *hype* stage. However, you can't short them, if they didn't get listed on major exchanges for futures/perpetual trading.

Take $PEPE for example. It was clear from day one that the token is a complete Ponzi. There was 0 utility for the token from the beginning and not a sight of it in their roadmap.

The prices were not justified at all and us, being seasoned traders realised that. But there were no easily available financial tools to short NFTs. Cycer is here to change that.

Back in 2021, when the NFT market was going completely crazy, and people were buying JPEGs for 10s of thousands of dollars, it was clear to us, that the NFT market is a bubble

The second big thing that spawned Cycer is the realisation that there are almost no financial tools to effectively short NFTs.

Cycer on the other hand is a decentralised exchange, where you never delegate your funds to a third party. You are always in control.

Not doing that is obviously more hustle. You gotta keep track of your private keys, avoid being hacked and so on, but ultimately, that's the solution if you want your money secure. Big exchanges like Binance, Kraken and Coinbase will eventually follow the same fate.

The idea originally spawned when the FTX collapse has happened. (And the SVB collapse). Historically, almost any institution, even the one which is *too big to fail* eventually.. FAILS. Whenever you trust your money into someone's hands you pay the price.
