Got lucky this weekend with yesterday’s weather. An early start and elevenses in Sledmere with a couple of ride buddies before they headed home & I went north to East & West Heslerton. Kept it steady & with no curfew got in a cracking, if loopy, ride 👍🏻 connect.garmin.com/app/activity/2…

Phew! Just needed a few minutes on the way back from a very hot ride to take a seat in the shade and catch some breeze. All under the watchful eye of a pigeon in the roof of the lichgate. Nearly home… ☀️

A bit of a theme emerged on yesterday’s rather warm ride: Scarecrows out in force in West Lutton and Skidby. Although to be nit-picking for a moment I’m not sure how effective at scaring crows the chap in the hedge would be 🤔 A twisty route: strava.com/activities/150…

Would normally bike home after a Driffield ride but the extra 15 miles were a pedal too far in today’s heat. Train instead! 🚴‍♀️

@MTB_Cycler @ajdc123 Sounds wonderful, Michael. I can just imagine it. I do think about getting out for a few hours on a night - I managed it on Wednesday but it was earlier and across commuter traffic time. Somewhere between 7-11 I’m usually asleep on the sofa in this weather 🫤

@ajdc123 @CycleTheWolds I had an evening ride 7pm till 11pm last night along the Humber and the cool fresh air was lovely. I know it's inland but it was like seaside fresh air and made for getting a lot of miles in the legs.

@dgc837 Indeed. The fourth time I’ve passed it in three days. There was a better scene yesterday on my way back from a longer ride - the cows had arranged themselves in a highly photogenic manner - but I was too jiggered to stop and get out on my phone 😩
