There's really nothing inherently wrong with reusing or modifying pre-existing 3D assets. It's way more common than you might think, and it's often the smartest and most pragmatic choice.
But, maaaannnn, would it hurt for a dinosaur movie to have some actual novel art direction?

feels lik BS cuz the featr scales are the same proportions + shape of those that cover osteoderms in crocodiles today....it looks like someone thought they would look cool and that they were already on the JW allo and then made up the explanation that there is no bone under them.
