@peekaboo_jen I’m going back to reading books. Or, watching Britbox shows. There are some Outlander cast members there, like Lauren Lyle. She has a good show Karen Pirie.

So, now that we know that the Outlander season 8 showrunners have decreed the following to be true: 1. Claire's parents lived. 2. Faith lived, had children, and died a horrible death on her way to find her parents. 3. Fanny is Jamie and Claire's biological granddaughter. 4. Fergus is dead. 5. Lord John is quite happy to throw all caution and his adherence to social classes and etiquette to the wind for good time, all consequences be damned. 6. William is unable to experience any emotional growth and is stuck as a petulant child. 7. Lace makers have better medical skills and resources than pretty much everyone. 8. Master Raymond can time travel and bring people back from the brink of death but he can't remember to return a baby, that he stole, to their mother once said mother is feeling better. He can also determine that a song Claire sang to a dead baby would be much better than an episode of Find My Family or DNA testing to determine a blood relation. 9. Jamie can't seem to muster up a good old fashioned breakdown when his son dies unexpectedly. (I know Jamie is stoic, and strong for everyone else, but, come on, it was Fergus!!) 10. That Jamie and Claire no longer need physical touch as one of their love languages despite it being their main love language THE WHOLE TIME. Given all of this, how is the season is going to end? I mean, all gloves are off. Source material? Pfft, what's that??? Is Jamie going to die? Is Claire going to die? Will Faith magically reappear on the Ridge? Will Jamie summon the ghosts of his family to give him strength as he goes into battle, just like Harry Potter did? Will the bear's family turn up at the ridge and enact a bit of payback? Is Frank really black Jack Randall and he can time travel? Is Jamie somewhere in a shower, aka Bobby Ewing? Will Frank walk into their room at the B and B and find Claire asleep in the same comfy chair we saw in the first episode, book open in her lap. Will Frank wake her gently with a kiss, and as she returns his kiss the book falls to the ground and we see that the book is in fact Outlander and it has all been a dream. Her dream. (Ohhh, I probably shouldn't have put that last one out into the universe.) So, what is your best guess? Lay them on me. #outlander

@peekaboo_jen I feel like I’m watching the Jamie and Claire show it’s so far off the Outlander tracks. So I guess there is no danger of them revealing Diana’s final storyline. Maybe Murtagh will reappear. 🫢

Two years ago I was at the gym, doing a lift I had done hundreds, maybe thousands of times before. Just two days earlier I had a new PR, reaching elite status for a non-professional. Then with the last rep, I heard a crack. Thinking it was my bar that had snapped (but knowing that was impossible) I walked back into the rack and offloaded my bar and weights. At that moment I understand I was injured. As I made my way to Urgent Care, it never once occurred to me that I had broken my neck. But I did. And once the dust settled and I understood the extent of my injury and recovery, I just forged ahead and did what I needed to do. One day at a time. Oh there were times when I was scared, unsure of what lay ahead. But the love and laughter of a kindred friend made every day easier. So here I am, two years later, feeling sparkly and strong. And so deeply blessed. For the most part, this is just something that happened in the past and I’m only rarely troubled by the injury. Compared to the life-altering accidents and illnesses many people face, this was just a passing blip on the radar. Nevertheless, I am grateful for my recovery. And for all of you. Even though you didn’t know it, you were there with me as I walked the path✨💖🫶🏽

“[Fan] support is amazing, and they have been brilliant, but I think they forget that I am an actor and that the reason I got into acting was to play different parts,” Heughan says. “Hopefully, they’re excited for us and will follow us on our journeys, and if they miss Jamie Fraser that much, they can always rewatch or read the books, and I will with them, because I’m a fan now myself.” Sam Heughan speaking with Parade. I totally agree. I don’t understand Starz. Outlander literally made that streaming service. There is nothing worthy to watch after Outlander except BOMB. When Outlander ends I’ll be buying the entire series on DVD and ending my Starz service. I can wait for BOMB to come out on DVD’s and buy that series.

* Steps on soapbox * As most are probably aware, I am not a fan of Starz. I've never been impressed with the way they have showcased or, perhaps more fittingly, not showcased Outlander over the years. Their PR has always felt haphazard. Disjointed. Incomplete. Lazy. Immature. Often appearing like an afterthought. I've always found it at odds with their whole, "Best fans ever" tagline. Especially given the fact that it has been the fans, and more often than not, Sam, who has carried the momentum through each and every droughtlander. Not Starz. Nope. We see them casually reappear a week or so before the beginning of each season and gush about how amazing the up-and-coming season is, how amazing we the fans are, they throw us a couple of behind-the-scenes photos, a few interviews, and then they disappear again. To me, it has been like clockwork every time. Tick the social media box. Ensure subscriptions. Share some never-before-seen content. Praise the best fans ever. Exit stage left till the end of the next droughtlander. Repeat. I had hoped that the lead up to the final season would be different. I really had thought that they would get this one right. That it would be respectful to the fans. But, more importantly, that it would give the cast and crew and everyone else involved a fitting send-off. I had hoped that these incredible actors would be given the best opportunity to say goodbye to Outlander and to us, their fans. But. Alas. This all feels just as haphazard as before. It was a terrible system for fans to try and attend the final premiere. Especially given the fact that this is an international fandom. People outside of the US have been given little to no consideration regarding sufficient time to plan, travel, and attend. Even more so with extra events added here and there. Interviews released with little fanfare. Old interviews that could have been delivered so much better throughout the lead up to this final press period. Old photoshoots. Separate PR with our leads. Information is released about the premiere in drips and drabs. And, unfortunately, Cait is not attending the 92NY that is scheduled with Sam, John, David, Rik, Sophie, and the showrunners. I would assume this is a scheduling conflict. We know she's filming her next project. But. It does beg the question as to why this final season is airing so long after they finished filming. These scheduling conflicts were bound to happen because so many of the cast have moved on. As they should. As we want them to. The blame lies with Starz. They have known the release date for months. They employ staff to anticipate conflicts and negotiate outcomes that work. This is their job. And. Of course. Let's not forget that Starz had to bump the final season of Outlander to push their BOMB agenda. By doing so, they tried to capitalise on us as a captive audience, craving anything Outlander-related. They merged our loyalty and passions whether we wanted them to or not. They used us at a cost to Outlander itself. So, now, we, the best fans EVER, are in this situation. And, our cast, the incredible cast who has created the legacy that allowed for BOMB to be green lit in the first place has been put in a terrible situation where they have to juggle their new projects and this final Outlander premiere and PR requirements. It is all very frustrating. But. Most of all. It is sad. Outlander is an amazing story. Sam, Cait, and everyone else involved have brought Diana's story to life with such care and love. I wish Starz had truly realised what a gift they were given. Us. A fandom who simply wanted to be valued the same way we value Jamie, Claire, and the world they move through. I hope that the next week or so proves me wrong. I really do. I hope that every fan walks away from this season and the overall series feeling content. I hope that the actors are able to do the same. After all, it's our very last dance to the stones. * Steps off soapbox *

A most heartfelt Happy Birthday ( Feb 6) to our magical friend, Tash @peekaboo_jen 🥳🥃✨ Here we all are, popping by to spend a part of our day in our special shared space. We laugh, try to forget (if for a moment or two) about our sorrows and struggles. We inspire each other, lift each other up. We celebrate people we respect and admire. And we most definitely have a laugh (or two or three)🤗 And this beautiful space, our digital island, is crafted, curated, and protected by Tash. We are cared about here, checked-in with, made to feel seen. Good friends pay attention, and clearly Tash does. She engages as much as possible with huge numbers of community members; I know how much these sparks and connections mean to her. One of Tash’s greatest gifts to us is her consistency. Perseverance matters. Reliability matters. Fortitude in the face of negativity matters. Simply and powerfully, she shows up. And did I say just how she makes us laugh? And she makes us powerful together. Yet never loses sight of the importance of all of us and each of us. We love you Tash and wish you the very happiest of birthdays. May there always be enough Sassenach and Tim Tams for drams and slams. May deep love and true friendship follow you all your days.

I will always be amazed by the people who have crossed my path via #SamHeughan & #Outlander Some people have taught me life lessons. Some people have brought incredible joy and laughter into my life. Some people are a little bit of both. Either way, I'm thankful. And sparkly.

I heard that George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle, Elliot Gould, Bernie Mac, Casey Affleck, Qin Shaobo, Scott Caan, & Eddie Jemison were spotted at The Louvre just before the robbery. I'm not saying they are involved, but I'm also not not saying that.
