I’m going to Tractor Supply to pick up cattle panels for garden trellising, and for some reason I’m extremely nervous about it. I’ve got a pickup, ratchet straps, and a plan, but I wish I had organized this better so I could have a friend to go with! 😬

Actually, googling “Least evil craft stores” leads me to believe that JoAnn and Michael’s may not be evil? For some reason I had it in my brain that they were just slightly less-bad Hobby Lobbies.

Wow, there are ZERO non-big-box (e.g., something other than Michael’s, JoAnn, Hobby Lobby) art supply stores near our house. The closest independent retailer is 20mi away. I was going to take my daughter to get a new sketchbook as a treat after the dentist… I guess not!

Not sure why I felt the need to tweet about this… perhaps because it’s yet another example of how the health and care needs of young children (and their adults) seem to be generally overlooked. Covid put it in sharp relief, and now I can’t stop seeing it.

This also adds to the potential adverse impacts for both young kids and families.
