@DGlaucomflecken My dr once told me my symptoms come with “maturity” - we both laughed… another said “wisdom”. Personally, I celebrate each morning when I wake up. It’s another day I can strive to make a difference in someone’s life!

Maybe it’s because of my cardiac arrest, but I don’t understand why patients get upset when I say their symptoms are due to aging. 95% of what I diagnose is because we get old. I always bring it up as delicately as possible, but like do you know how lucky you are? I see patients in their 80s and think, “man I hope I get there one day.” So many things in this world can kill you. You’ve beaten the odds. Honestly, congratulations, you’re old.

Today is the day that my wife’s grandmother, passed away. We celebrate that day 10 years later by bringing home our baby girl (her great granddaughter) from the hospital. God is in control, God is so so good.

I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 2 weeks ago. We are healthy and safe and there is so much joy in our home but when I’m nursing him in the middle of the night, worrying about the state of the world he has entered, certain thoughts keep coming back to me 1/

I think it’s weird that people aspire to retire like mid 40’s etc, and by retire I mean retire and do nothing else.. sure retiring from a place to get paid out makes sense ..but to sit around from 45+ sounds terrible // maybe I’m the weird one lol
