Open letter to Sony You got ripped off by Pete Parson of Bungie in the biggest heist in gaming history. You paid $3.6 billion for a failing company. You can do 2 things now. Punish everyone at Bungie for your mistake or go on the offensive to make your money back. This letter is about option 2. You can make your money back and here is how. You need to monetize D2 better. I have over 10.000 hours in the game and built several multi-billion companies that controlled 4% of the Internet before the US Government shut them down, unlawfully. You have nothing to lose at this point so hear me out. Monetization of D2 is shit. You have a large community and here is how you grow that community for Bungie to be profitable. Add a marketplace for the best items in the game. Let users and content creators auction what they earn in-game. Sell vault slots. Many gamers are horters. Let them pay for it. Add items that are truly rare. Make the gaming experience more rewarding by limiting those special items. Change the sandbox and allow Gamers to feel powerful. Allow 3rd party developers to make commercial mods for D2 and acquire the best mods. Make D3 Turn this bad investment into a winner. You will have some pushback from the community about ‘pay to win’ but having some criticism is much better than letting D2 die. Make content creators excited to play and promote D2 again and you will observe a steady increase in player numbers and income. Regards, Kim Dotcom

@JakeSucky get rid of marathon and put 100% dev time into destiny 3. extraction shooters are not the way. Tarkov is good but not every game can be Tarkov, it's a hardcore game and wont get the players of a Halo/Destiny type game.

Landed in Atlanta, and while walking through the terminal, I heard, 'Hey, isn't that Harada-san?' Turned around to find Tokido @tokidoki77 and Mago @magotto3 about to leave Atlanta. What a small world! It was fun chatting with them again after a while. Should've gotten a picture together.

Marathon’s game director @Ziegler_Dev reflects on the journey so far and the weird and wild path ahead. Here’s the gist of it: 🔹With the first season of Marathon we’ve created a strong core community. 🔹We're embarking on a multi-season journey built around growing from the seed of this strong community. 🔹We’re looking to solve some pain points for players: * Making the game less grindy, more rewarding * Making improvements to things like the UI/UX, matchmaking, end game meta, playing as solos/duos, etc. * Smoothing out onboarding 🔹We’re also going to build out more of the core game: * Adding new fun and mind-bending content: new and updated zones, Runner shells, new combatants, weapons, loot, and more * Building systems to make progressing more interesting 🔹We want to build more survival experiences for different moods, like if you want to full sweat or lean back and chill. * Exploring more pure PVP, PVE, and PVP-lite experiences * Continue experimenting with experimental queues to learn more around these experiences Other highlights: 🔹We're bringing back Duos for Season 2 with a rotating Duos queue. 🔹We're testing some experiments in Season 2 around PVE and PVP-Lite modes. 🔹We’re expanding the max size of your Vault and increasing faction progression rates in Season 2. 🔹We’ll talk more about Season 2 content like Night Marsh, the new Cradle progression system, and the Runner shell Sentinel, the week of May 25.
