We often want a 500-watt floodlight to see our entire future. However, God's word provides enough light to see the very next step. Mercy didn't see the end of the Revolution; she just had enough light for the page in front of her.

We just redone our upstairs hardwood floors, and it got me thinking about Mercy Otis Warren. She spent her life writing on floors just like these, but she didn’t have an LED switch. She had to "pay" for her clarity. Lighting was expensive.
