@TreciaKS No. I know there's plenty people smarter and better than me, but I know I'm good and I'm confident in my ability to learn whenever I need to know something I don't (or have forgotten 😅), and I can count on my team when I'm truly stuck. Everything else will fall in place.

@HorsesAndCoffee @ellegist You can have proper cheese that melts. The Swiss have made two dedicated dishes for this: Raclette and Fondue. Generally, the fattier the cheese, the easier it melts.

Sorry for being annoying, but I don't want people to get the impression they can just take antibiotics if they get covid.

@SroSocial @gldivittorio Speaking as a doctor, that is nonsensical advice. If you get a bad infection, I won’t tell you to go home and boost your immune system, I’ll prescribe you antibiotics. If someone has a cold or flu around you, you tell them to cover their mouth (i.e. a very temporary mask)

@sabrinaesaquino I remember a job opening being shared online that required "8 years of kubernetes". ... kubernetes is TO THIS DAY not even 8 years old itself.

Is there something funnier than an internship position with a 5+ years experience requirement?

@iArshiKhan Why do you think the two are mutually exclusive? Going it without a degree will always be a bit of an uphill battle as you must demonstrate constantly that you can keep up despite not having received the usual education.

@deannawol @born2bdrama Fuck the media. If you're serious about losing weight, go talk to a nutritionist. People underestimate these folks. It's not "just eat less and exercise more", it's also "eat the right amount of the right things". There's a lot that can be done with very little compromise.

@deannawol @born2bdrama I work with a couple of very qualified heavyweights and I can assure you nobody cares that they're a bit on the heavier side.

@deannawol @born2bdrama Don't go for a run, then. Running is boring anyway (imo). Why not start with swimming, for example? Yes, you won't have what they call a "bikini body", but who the fuck cares? Besides, swimming will produce less stress on your joints than running would.

@deannawol @born2bdrama Unfortunately, wrong nutrition and a lack of exercise IS the reason for obesity in the very vast majority of cases. So of course people will assume that. Doesn't make it any easier for those whom this doesn't apply to, I'm afraid, but how are people supposed to know?

@deannawol @born2bdrama I think you're misunderstanding. These people don't know you lost weight due to an illness, they just see the difference and think you're making a conscious effort, so they want to encourage you.

@deannawol @born2bdrama Well... I'll be honest with you, I agree the leads shouldn't be fat. I'd consider it irresponsible to promote a clearly unhealthy body style (which goes both ways, I also think leads shouldn't be anorexic).
