At the cutting edge of detecting CO2 in the world’s oceans! @CyprusSubsea along with @IARC_Alaska are deploying a CO2 Seaglider in the Gulf of Alaska. While @NOCnews trained @NIOZniews at @SOCIB_ICTS to operate @TeledyneMarine Slocum G3s to study CO2 absorption in the North Sea.

How does a #glider work? With onboard electronics keeping the glider on course, this #AUV glides down to great depths collecting #oceandata. A pump changes the glider's buoyancy while an internal mass shifter steers the vehicle.
