Here's a spicy hot take that'll be sure to enrage the Quangos....
Creating Art with AI requires *MORE* creativity than picking up a pencil or paintbrush. 😱😱😱
Art is about VISION. Making your VISION a reality requires a TOOL. Charcoal and berries on a cave wall, pencil on paper, paintbrush on a canvas, stylus on a tablet... all of those require you to pick something up and put it down again. Now we also have generative AI as another TOOL.
AI art requires both vision and creativity in exponential amounts. Imagine if you will, directing a tired, blind and retarded artist who's an excellent but very literal listener on how to make the exact image you want as it's in your head. You can pick up that pencil, and keep drawing and erasing as much as you need. With the retarded blind artist, you're trying to guide them every step of the way... and you can screw up the same part a million times before you get it right, and you still need to keep feeding and hydrating that artist, then wait for him to sleep for a full eight hours before going again.
But, that artist will keep going for as long as you want, eventually get it right, and you get the thing you were envisioning... for as little as zero dollars.
This level of interaction makes both you AND that artist better.
Alternatively, you can pay some snobby, mediocre wannabe artist to *maybe* get something *somewhat* similar to what you were looking for, and they'll gladly redo it over and over as many times as you want for the same exorbitant price you paid for the first piece, with little or no increase in quality, while you wait 100x longer. Then you might get sued for using it in a way you don't like because they hold a license over your head.
So crazy that creative CC's are turning to AI for their artistic needs. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
