@Hitest2k1 @BlooHook @Glassdoorgamer We warned the public already to get a #PS5 or a #PS5Pro before this happens. They have nobody to blame but themselves & I am not sorry for the clowns on Twitter but for the real day to day people who wanted a PS console before the price increases.
11dib@D11dib

It must be heart breaking for Xbox & PC zealots to see reports of PS5 Pro selling out & to see people posting their #PS5 & #PS5Pro purchases on X in the last couple of weeks despite their relentless anti PS5 PS5 Pro propaganda, hostility & hate. Their efforts went in vain.

That's the beauty of modern PC gaming You can build a rig smaller than a console and put it under the TV You can dock a Steam Deck, or other portable PC and play them that way You can even stream games from your main PC to your TV You're not avoiding updates regardless 🤡

@JavaidUsama Yep. My A90J & C3 looks clean with no burn in & most games now have options to hide the HUD and make it more dynamic, the HUD won’t show up until you need it like during combat sequences and the map can be replaced with a compass on the top of the display.

@D11dib 2017 era OLEDs? Sure, now? Meh, chances are these newer screens may even have better longevity than typical LEDs. These screens do auto dimming when left at static, compensation cycles after every 4hr of cumulative use, etc. I used an LG CX + LG27 OLED as dual setup for 5 yrs

@JavaidUsama I agree although using it as a desktop monitor increases the chances of burn in. I used to keep my monitor background clean with so static logos & after selling my PC I don’t use it at all, put it back in the box & stored it. It’s the 2024 model.

@D11dib I have stopped worrying about that long ago, the only precaution I have set is screen saver to kick in after being afk for a few min, and auto hide task bar, it is very hard to get burn in on OLED TVs/monitors made over the past 5 years now...

This move is detrimental to the consumer. It is difficult to justify why a highly profitable company must impose such steep price increases and restrict accessibility to their exclusive titles while already seeing significant revenue growth. I am not sold on that & I call it BS:

@JavaidUsama No, the matte finish looks excellent & most users will get used to it after using it for a while even if their previous TV screen is a glossy one.

@D11dib It also has a rather nice matte anti-glare coating which further suits my PC monitor use case (subjective pref, it is better than other matte coatings imo) Rlly my only gripe is the overall software bugs & bloated home menu. The tech is end game tier and they improved processing

@JavaidUsama You don’t worry about burn in? How is the image retention on it & do you have extended warranty on the panel? Or you upgrade your screens every 2 or 3 years so you don’t use them for too long which exposes them to such issues?

@D11dib 3 months ago I used to have this pop up come up randomly, sometimes during important cutscenes 🤣 I think it's been patched now, but it pissed me off

@D11dib Now there's a super cancer version of this issue, where genre mode goes to automatic, more rare so I can't record that. Your friend is probably using only console mode where I've found the TV to be less stupid. That is about it, (ok well it's also more confusing to calibrate)

@JavaidUsama Looks nice honestly & the matte finish looks clean although I prefer the glossy one. Was close to buying one or the G5 last year but I said to myself that my current OLED TVs looks great & would rather to wait another year before upgrading but it’s a great TV.

@D11dib The TVs are still definitely better than the majority of monitors tho, a LG C5 imo is just flat out better than any monitor if you've got the space to accommodate it. Input lag wise they're all equal :)

@JavaidUsama For most gamers and average consumers it’s not budget efficient. The best bang for buck is an OLED TV with modern processor + a PS5 Pro. They’ll be 90% satisfied on an LG B series or an S85 Sam OLED.

@D11dib Heck I think you should get a TV even if you're a PC user! The only usable OLED monitors imo are the 4k QD-OLEDs by 1-2 brands, that narrows it down very tightly, and are more pricy, so you might as well go with a TV and get better HDR/DV etc

@JavaidUsama Is the Samsung TV OS bad on all models? Because I know someone with a 55” S90F and they have no complaints about the OS, not perfect but they’re OK with it!

@D11dib LG OS is at least not bloated, I deeply miss the experience on my LG CX, no ads, no nothing, just my inputs and my apps, on Samsung.... It's a nightmare (there's a bug in PC mode that causes my picture mode to switch sometimes after a week)

@JavaidUsama I predict in the future for LG & its upcoming PHOLED panels in the next 2 years to surpass Sam by a mile unless the next generation QD OLED panels can match PHOLED’s peak brightness Samsung might end up taking OLED panels from LG & stop making QD OLEDs or replace it with QNED

@D11dib I will definitely go back to LG in the future cuz they're working towards achieving QD-OLED level color luminance and have fixed the dithering issue presented last year.

@JavaidUsama No doubt is a supreme TV. It’s just that there’s no perfect device or TV. I prefer LG & heavily leaning towards buying a new LG OLED instead of a Samsung simply because if the sustained brightness, build quality, 5 years panel warranty from the manufacturer & image processing.

@D11dib I too definitely favor LG more overall, imo they make better TVs. My Samsung in particular is just, the highest end flagship with the best display tech. It reviewed very well and won second place in HDTVTEST's blind test competition last year, edging to the Bravia.

@JavaidUsama Anyhow I didn’t mean to be rude & the conversation is steered away from my main post 😅. If you’re a console gamer or want to move from PC to console gaming, it’s better to buy a TV instead of a desktop monitor.

@D11dib From my testing, the WOLED monitors aren't as great as the TVs for some reason The QD-OLED monitors however are a different story, and are generally better tuned by MSI & co, I cycled through a couple till I landed on that to compare with both my LG & Sam TV
