@NewsHawksLive I like that 👌 because its sad now because it is done by South African to South African, it was wrong from start when Africans divided maybe it will understandable now when we say Africa must unite and lead by one president
After he was harangued, harassed and humiliated by being called a Kwerekwere - a derogatory term in South Africa meaning a foreigner - in his own country by an angry local Zulu-speaking woman in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda - originally Venda from Limpopo Province - received nationwide support from a large cross-section of South Africans from different walks of life who were disgusted by the raw, brazen and primitive tribalism exhibited towards him.
Black South Africans are still gripped by entrenched ethnic prejudice, ethnophobia and tribalism which is closely intertwined with xenophobia.
This has been confirmed through research and observation of human behaviour in society.
This problem is part of ancient ethnic rivalries, hostilities and an apartheid colonial legacy.
South Africans were divided into ethnic groups and regimented in Bantustans - isolated from each other - by the apartheid regime's separate development model that was largely about divide, control and conquer to extract, exploit and pillage the country's vast resources
The ethnic chauvinism colonial hangover and hate - together with racism - have lingered on after the advent of freedom and the democratic dispensation in 1994, destroying the dream of a true Rainbow Nation.
Those problems now manifests themselves through deeply entrenched black-on-black hate, tribalism and xenophobia as shown by the Durban incident.
Many discerning South Africans who understand the issue and those who don't like tribalism rallied behind Netshiunda.
One such a source of support for him was a letter written to him by someone called Thulani Zulu and widely circulated on social media.
The letter reads:
Dear Colonel Robert Netshiunda,
What you were subjected to is not just disrespect it is raw, ugly tribalism, and it must be called out without fear or hesitation. No South African, especially a public servant of your calibre, should ever be harassed, bullied, or attacked for who they are, where they come from, or which language they choose to speak.
Let it be said clearly and without apology KwaZulu-Natal is NOT an ethnic territory.
It is a constitutional province of the Republic of South Africa. It belongs to all South Africans not to any tribe, culture, or linguistic group.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is rejecting the constitution, rejecting democracy, and rejecting the very foundation of this country.
No one absolutely no one has the right to force another human being to speak a language they are not comfortable with.
You did not insult anyone. You did not disrespect anyone.
You did them a courtesy by communicating in English a neutral, official language meant to unite, not divide.
You could just as lawfully have switched to Tshivenda, and the constitution would have protected you completely.
Language rights are not weapons. They are freedoms.
Their right to be addressed in a language of their choice does NOT cancel your right to speak in the language of your choice.
What some tried to do to you is intimidation, exclusion, and cultural bullying and it deserves nothing but firm resistance.
Your composure, professionalism, and clarity under pressure once again proved why you are one of the most respected and articulate SAPS spokespersons in this country.
You represent discipline, intellect, and dignity and no amount of noise from narrow-minded intolerance will ever diminish that. Stand tall. Stand firm.
Stand unshaken.
They will never break your spirit. They will never silence your voice. They will never shrink your identity. South Africa belongs to all who live in it not to tribal arrogance, not to linguistic tyranny, and not to small-minded nationalism.
Threatening Julius Malema with an MP position is so weak!
As EFF voters alone, we can easily pay his R1.5 million salary .
R5 monthly contribution X 1.5M
= R7.5M
We will found our president

@Patricia_Bantom@ResaletengT Have you checked mine?, he educate me everyday through him im owning land and other means of production, im not poor at all
Julius Malema’s net worth is estimated anywhere between R150 million and over R600 million. That is not a small change. That is elite money. That is the kind of money most black South Africans will never see in ten lifetimes.
Now, help me understand something.
If black people are poor because of white monopoly capital, as he keeps telling us, how did he get rich inside the same system that is supposedly designed to keep him down?
Did white monopoly capital take a lunch break just for Julius?
Did the system suddenly stop working when he started getting wealthy?
You cannot tell people the game is rigged, then silently win the game and still pretend you are one of the victims. That is deception. That is manipulation.
Real fighters against an unfair system usually get poorer, not richer. They do not end up living larger than the people they claim to represent.
If the system truly only benefits whites, then Julius should be broke like the rest of us. But he is not. He is thriving.
So maybe the problem is not white monopoly capital. Maybe the problem is politicians who discovered that poverty is a useful story to tell, while wealth is very enjoyable to live.
Think about who benefits from you staying angry, poor, desperate, and loyal to slogans and chanting instead of growth and development.
@TwaRSA26 Who said ramaphosa is not supposed to have phalaphala farm because the issue the phalaphala is dollars that was found there have you ever found something illegal on Malema's farm ? But why you always behind him because this fighting for you but idiots doesn't see that
So, according to EFF members, we should not question malema's assets because he is black??
Mind you, these are the same people who are always bringing up the phala phala saga... I guess ramaphosa isn't black enough.
@kalliekriel@afriforum I'm starting to realize that Malema is really a true leader of our time there will be hate like that if he was not fighting for true liberation of African child
Apartheid was fought by a tiny minority of South Africans. Some SAns were fighting those that were fighting apartheid, others like Herman Mashaba were just comfortable making money. What's happening to the EFF and Malema is not new, fighting for balck people is not easy!
@Klipkop007@Patricia_Bantom I never ever saw a low thinker like you in the world where is gona be illegal immigrants if we use one currency is there illegal immigrants from cape town to joburg or kzn to EC use your common sense you idiot
