Today’s D1D Scouting Bureau FRESHMAN FREE SHOWCASE is a go! The event will be held indoors in the fieldhouse at Legacy Park starting at 1 pm. The event is full and registration is closed. Follow the highlights here as top 2024 and 2025’s gather to showcase their skills.

D1D Scouts: Spotswood vs Turner Ashby Turner Ashby HS 2021 1B Hunter Miller had a big night going 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs for the Knights. Miller can hit to all fields and plays with a lot of energy. Sprinted on and off the field. Bridgewater College commit. @D1Draftable

D1D Scouts: Spotswood vs Turner Ashby Turner Ashby HS 2021 LHP/OF Jared Peake with a solid outing again for the Knights. Fastball was up to 79 mph and was able to keep hitters off balance with his breaking ball. Committed to play at Bridgewater College. @D1Draftable

D1D Scouts: Broadway vs Spotswood Spotswood HS (2022) LHP Ben Craig was very effective in relief for the Blazers. Craig’s fastball sat in the low 80’s from a low 3/4 arm slot and as you can see here he was making hitters look very uncomfortable. @D1Draftable

D1D Scouts: Broadway vs Spotswood Broadway HS (2021) RHP Jacob Petersheim continues his dominance in the Valley District with a CG 1-hit shutout against the Blazers. Petersheim sat in the high 80s and gave up just an infield hit and a walk while striking out 12. @D1Draftable

D1D Scouts: Wilson Memorial vs Staunton 2023 RHP Finn Irving sat in the 77-78 range and topped at 81. He has a tall thin frame, throws overhand, prominent thumb down finish. Ball runs inside to righties. CH that has significant drop at 67mph. Room to fill out.

D1D Scouts: Spotswood vs Harrisonburg 2022 Spotswood HS RHP Andrew Baugher sat 78-80 mph while registering 9 Ks and 1 BB in a 6 inning CG effort for the Trailblazers. Baugher worked quickly and did a nice job controlling the running game. @D1Draftable

D1D Scouts: Spotswood vs Harrisonburg 2022 Spotswood HS 3B/OF Elijah Grogg continues to find the barrel for the Trailblazers registering 2 hits last night with a 93 mph exit velo. Still batting over .600 on the season with 12 stolen bases in 7 games. @D1Draftable

D1D Scouts: Spotswood vs Harrisonburg 2022 Harrisonburg HS RHP/IF Evan Bert was up to 89 mph last week but shows here that he can also swing the bat. Bert is very projectable on the mound, athletic for his size, & could play either corner IF spot at the next level. @D1Draftable
