From the media team here at DAC who’ve been behind the camera, in front of it, and everywhere in between this week - thank you for joining us, engaging with us, and supporting the need for accessibility alongside us.

As this year’s CSUN conference comes to a close, we’ve had an incredible week here at DAC. Throughout the week, we’ve explored the impact of assistive technology and the importance of clear and inclusive communication.

This includes checking that content is announced clearly, navigation is logical, controls are properly labelled, and interactive elements behave as users expect.

Creating an accessible experience online is essential to ensure nobody is left out. While accessible websites are vital, the same principles must also be applied to mobile applications.

Alongside this, the team is hard at work building our brand-new website, a space designed to reflect our values and make accessibility guidance even easier to find. We can’t wait to share it with you. #CSUNATC26 #AssistiveTech #InclusiveTech #Accessibility #DigitalAccessibility

They also built our eLearning platform, home to in-depth modules on topics such as Assistive Technology (JAWS, NVDA etc.), introductions to WAI-ARIA, and practical guidance for anyone looking to strengthen their accessibility knowledge.

Our Development Team is a vital part of everything we do at the Digital Accessibility Centre. Working behind the scenes, they create the tools, apps, and platforms that help people deepen their accessibility skills and put inclusive design into practice.
