Leave Netflix out of this, sir. Why not use Claude as your analogy instead? You’re picking a streaming platform that already uses regional pricing as a strategy. When they lower prices in Nigeria, it’s deliberate; they understand the market. People won’t keep paying high dollar prices for services that don’t deliver real value. Tools like Claude can justify it, but entertainment like Netflix can’t. I paid for Claude Max the same way everyone else around the world does, and the value is there. You want global salary but you can’t pay ordinary Netflix subscribers in global rate. If you want Nigerian companies to pay global salaries, can you pay for their services in global prices? Can you pay £15000 to develop a web application? People behave as if there is no economic reality - you can only pay from what you earn and it is based on the local economy.
