I had the honor of attending The Kids Fashion Runway – Purpose in Motion Edition. Beyond the fashion and the smiles, it was such a beautiful reminder that every child deserves to feel seen, celebrated, included, and loved for exactly who they are. To the amazing children who owned that runway with so much confidence, you inspired us all. I was also deeply humbled to be recognized as an Inclusion Champion and had a moment to walk the runway.

Today, I had the honour of giving the key note address at the launch of Uganda’s 1st National Rehabilitation & Assistive Technology Strategic Plan 2025–2030 by the Ministry of Health. @MinofHealthUG This strategy is a major step toward ensuring equitable access to quality rehabilitation and assistive technology services for all Ugandans, especially persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups. At CBM, we believe rehabilitation and assistive technology are not privileges, they are essential to dignity, inclusion, independence, and participation. Together, let us move from policy to action and ensure no one is left behind. #DisabilityInclusion #Rehabilitation #AssistiveTechnology #InclusiveHealth

Honored to represent CBM Uganda at the Beyond the canvas - Abilities Beyond Limits, Youth Connect 2026 organized and hosted by @reachahand It was truly inspiring to listen to @nickvujicic as he engaged with young leaders, creatives, advocates, and partners advancing disability inclusion. At CBM Uganda, we believe inclusion is about dignity, opportunity, and ensuring every young person can participate fully and reach their potential. Grateful to @reachahand and all partners for creating such a powerful platform for conversation, advocacy, visibility, and hope.

Apart from corruption, the other deadly cancer destroying our leaders and slowly eating away at the nation itself.. is arrogance. Many leaders become intoxicated by temporary power and forget that leadership is built on humility, discipline, and service to the people. I truly wish they could learn from our President Museveni’s humility, despite the enormous experience, influence, and authority he holds in this country. Few people in history sustain leadership for so long, yet still remain calm, patient, and calculated in the way they handle criticism, pressure, and national matters. Power without humility becomes dangerous. Arrogance blinds leaders, disconnects them from ordinary citizens, and eventually destroys their judgment. The greatest leaders are not those who shout the loudest or display wealth and pride, but those who remain grounded even when they hold the highest office and the greatest power.@JackieAkampwera @RugyendoQuotes
