From my perspective, banning anything that isn’t “game breaking” for competitive this soon is jumping the gun imo. M16 - where it’s certainly a strong rifle in the right hands, I don’t think it outclasses other Rifles/SMGs like it’s perceived. I can see the argument for no rapid/muzzle booster on the M16 though, temporarily. Shotguns/Marksman/Snipers bans seem excessive. I don’t see players choosing any of those over other weapon options in a competitive format. Perhaps marksman but there are extensive tradeoffs at the risk of going for 1 shot headshots. Prox mine - using this means no grenade/flash/emp and it’s easily countered by just crouching or sliding to take 25hp damage. Seems like a ban just to ban. PEQ-15: our hipfire is not very strong as is, someone running this would mean they are using it in an attachment slot that’s arguably one of the most important slots. The laser is also visible to enemies if equipped. Light suppressor - this only reduces the duration you are on the minimap from 1s to 0.5s and reduces the distance to 24m(minimap range) but Echelon players are never revealed. So seems like an unnecessary ban.. Spiderbot has a few known issues so this as a temp ban I understand. Intel suit - as a temp ban I understand. Heavy barrel - don’t really see why this would be banned. It lowers shots to kill only with headshots and maybe in some cases on specific weapons at specific ranges without headshots. But at a 10% rate of fire tradeoff. Rapid/Muzzle booster - as a temp ban I can understand. Unique Faction per player - really think this should be re thought to unique ability per player. Keep in mind a new faction is coming every season. Greatly increases number of metas/counters/team comps that are viable that maps/modes can and should alter those composition choices. This also mirrors the design coming to Ranked play eventually.
