A brief tiny memory about Manchán Magan, who passed away yesterday. I guested on a series he did 20 years ago, and he noted that I had dropped the “fada” (the accent/diacritic) over the O in my name, which I had replaced with a capital O, just for ease of understanding in the UK. “Put it back” he said, “It should be there, proudly” And ever since, yes, the fada has been back on the O on every poster and tour. Here it is, outside the Swansea Arena last night. That’s Manchán’s doing.
