In Sennas era anyone of 6-10 drivers could realistically win each week. It was more competitive and harder championship to win. Especially with less points for a win

Salford, Swindon, Crewe & Walsall all lost more than us but sit above us. It’s not the losses that will cost us but draws like last night.

@Upthecolu Yeah I do think Goodwin has shown he’s not right for us but I genuinely haven’t seen enough of the youngsters, seen them all train and know how they’ll handle being thrown in at the deep end of a playoff chase.

We can confirm that Micah Mbick will miss the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury. The U’s number 33 was forced off early at Newport last weekend, necessitating a visit to hospital in South Wales following the final whistle. The good news, however, is that after seeing a surgeon yesterday it looks likely that he won’t require surgery and will instead take a more conservative approach, with his knee placed in a brace for the next 10–12 weeks to see how it heals. Of course, this will mean that he’ll be ruled out for the remaining games and therefore the remainder of his loan spell with the U’s. Four days earlier, Harvey Araujo was also in hospital miles from home after suffering a fractured cheekbone at Chesterfield. Harvey will undergo surgery to have a plate fitted, although he will need to wait for the swelling to go down before any procedure can take place, meaning it is still too early to put any timeline on his return. The thoughts of everyone at the club are with both players and we wish them both a speedy recovery. #ColU | #WeAreUnited

@RDColU Players/managers are on different contracts to “normal” staff. Whether they want to quit or not, they can’t really leave without RC cancelling the contract or someone paying compensation to get them. The gold at the end of the rainbow means we’re still an attractive proposition

Takeover is still on even if delayed, they’re popular & doing well - still big opp. With the contracts being quite lengthy they can’t quit & it’d be a lot of compensation for them to be poached. Plus as you say, don’t think they’re quitters.

@GlenWorrell With regards to the Cowleys, what I will say is they aren't quitters! And they only recently signed a new deal, despite knowing what was going on behind the scenes so I have hope they will be here still. Some players that are out of contract will have 1 year options on too
