@PGFDNews is considering using a tool that is currently being used and deployed at DC Fire and EMS.   Chief Ronnie Gill and team were onsite gathering product knowledge on the software application. Great day for collaboration between neighboring agencies.

Its seamless coordination that keeps our city safe and moving. Last Thursday, when a Metrobus caught fire in the 9th Street Tunnel, District agencies responded swiftly and in full force. DC Fire and EMS led an extraordinary response with 41 units and 125 personnel, quickly containing the fire. There were no injuries, and the tunnel’s design performed exactly as intended, preventing structural damage. DPW crews worked overnight to clear debris, remove loose tiles and concrete, and restore safe conditions so the tunnel could reopen as quickly as possible. We extend our sincere appreciation to our partners at @DDOTDC, @wmata, and @dcfireems for their exceptional coordination and commitment during this incident. Read more: wusa9.com/article/news/l…

Big fires need big water, and 5th Battalion units practiced that art during a heavy duty hook up and dual pumping drill at Alice Deal Middle School. It also gave Engine 20’s probationary firefighter a chance to practice on the pumps. #DCsBravest
