Good Luck to our year 12 contestants Tommy, Audrey, Seb and Che this Friday as they debate diversity and environmental impact in German with other schools across the UK and Ireland. @GI_London1
Languages aren’t just school subjects - they’re keys to connection. Portuguese got me breakfast first in Cascais, Spanish saved a New York taxi fare, and Albanian made me feel local in Pristina. Another language creates opportunities and leads to moments you never anticipated.
Huge congratulations to everyone celebrating an A Level in a language today! Whether it’s French, German, Spanish, Mandarin or more, you’ve opened doors to new places, people & opportunities you can’t yet imagine. Languages enrich life & give you advantages that last a lifetime.
GERMAN: Best of luck to our Year 12 German Debating Team who are set to compete in the @GI_London1 Final on Friday. They will take on the City of London School for Girls, debating the question of AI use in lessons. Good luck !
They were up against the talented Colyton Grammar School and the impressive use of statistics from the @ChallonersGS helped to secure victory.
Preparations are now underway for the final round of the national competition, due to take place in a couple weeks.
GERMAN DEBATING: Congratulations to the Year 12 German debating team, who won the semi-finals of the @GI_London1 debate, discussing the question: ‘Do social media influencers have a negative influence on young people, their self image and their lifestyle habits?’
