🇪🇺 WHO ELECTED THEM? NO ONE. THE EU IS RULED BY A BUREAUCRATIC MACHINE, NOT DEMOCRACY Call it what it is: the European Commission is not democratic. It’s not even close. While Brussels lectures the world about democratic values and the rule of law, the truth is that the real power in the EU is held by people no one ever voted for. Not once. Not directly. Not democratically. Yes, Europeans get to vote for Members of the European Parliament every 5 years. But here’s the dirty little secret: the Parliament can’t even propose laws. It just votes on the ones handed down by the Commission, a group of appointed officials selected behind closed doors through political horse-trading, party deals, and elite negotiations. No public oversight. No transparency. No accountability. Once in power, the Commission effectively runs the EU. It controls the legislative agenda. It shapes policy for 450 million people. It drafts the laws. It sets the tone. The Parliament, the only body with even a thin layer of democratic legitimacy becomes little more than a rubber stamp. And citizens? They’re just spectators. No say in who writes the laws. No say in who leads the Commission. No way to remove them when they fail. They can vote, yes, and then they can sit back and watch while unelected technocrats run the show. The European Union is a democracy in name only. A stage play. A managed illusion. And more people are starting to wake up to it, especially as they realize they’re not voting for leaders. They’re voting for figureheads. The real decisions are being made in smoke-filled rooms by people who never once faced the electorate. If the EU wants to survive, it needs to stop pretending and start reforming. Because people are tired of being ruled by a flag they didn’t choose and a Commission they didn’t elect. And that frustration? It’s growing.

The EU Commission should be disbanded in favor of an elected body and the EU President should be directly elected. The current system is rule by bureaucracy, not democracy.

Am I the only one thoroughly enjoying Metroid Prime 4 and the new changes introduced to the game? Miles and the other characters are incredibly well-developed, and I genuinely appreciate the interactions between them. While there are nods to Metroid Prime 1 for the original fans, this game offers more for those like me, Nintendo enthusiasts who haven’t fully grasped the franchise but were seeking a more substantial experience. While it may not be the “departure” or “evolution” of the series, it’s a positive step forward. It demonstrates Nintendo’s and Retro Studios’ commitment to expanding and preserving the Metroid legacy. Admittedly, I wasn’t particularly invested in the Metroid games until Prime 4. However, this one has piqued my interest, making me eager to explore the other titles in the series. I believe that was the intended outcome. It’s worth noting that Metroid enthusiasts and content creators tend to seek opinions from fellow fans and Metroid content creators rather than from fresh perspectives like mine, as new fans.

The EU operates like the mafia. Sweden is now paying the EU €9,19 million to buy itself out of the Union’s mandatory asylum quota. Think about that for a second: What kind of “democratic cooperation” forces a member state to pay protection money just to avoid having its own society destabilised? When a country must hand over cash to escape a policy that harms it, the structure stops looking like a union and starts looking like organized coercion. Let’s call the EU what it is: its a mafia organisation. Abolish the EU.

@FirstDescendant Giving away a Christmas outfit on the last day of the month is a lame strategy; the idea is to be able to wear it throughout the festive month, not just after the holidays are over. They need to rethink some of the rewards in this game.

@FirstDescendant We want the Christmas and winter skins to use during the event and the entire month of December. What's the point of rewarding us with the skin on the last day of December if it won't be worth using in January? I'll never understand these bizarre corporate strategies.

🇪🇺 WELCOME TO THE EU'S BUREAUCRATIC EMPIRE: WHERE DEMOCRACY GOES TO DIE So, you went to the polls. You voted. Maybe you even knocked doors or argued politics with your uncle over dinner. Congratulations. You exercised your democratic right. Now let’s tell you why it doesn’t matter. Because in the grand, gleaming halls of Brussels, someone you didn’t elect is making the real decisions. And that’s not a conspiracy - it’s the institutional design. This is the EU: a glorious experiment in post-democratic governance. The elected leaders of your country? They get to give speeches, sure. But when it comes to setting the rules, managing trade, telling your judges what to rule and your farmers what to grow - there’s a lovely little pyramid, and guess what? You’re not anywhere near the top. And no, the European Parliament doesn’t save you. It’s the decorative plant of EU democracy. The laws don’t start there. The real power sits with the European Commission - an unelected gang of technocrats who can outregulate, outmaneuver, and outvote your national government on everything from fisheries to fiscal policy. You can’t fire them. You can’t replace them. But don’t worry - they’re very “competent.” This is how democracy dies: not with tanks, but with treaties. Slowly. Softly. Signed away by prime ministers chasing subsidies and photo-ops. Until one day, your country’s parliament becomes a glorified comment section on rules already written elsewhere. Try passing a law your voters want that conflicts with EU policy. Try setting an immigration standard your people demanded. Good luck. You’ll be politely reminded that you’re bound by commitments - commitments no voter ever saw on a ballot. And if you push too hard? Out come the infringement procedures. Out come the threats. Out come the lectures about “European values,” as if bureaucracy is a moral compass. And don’t you dare try to question the EU’s authority. That’s what “populists” do. That’s dangerous. That’s the kind of thinking that leads to... horror of horrors... sovereignty. Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about cooperation. This is about control. This is about centralizing power behind a wall of civil servants and calling it progress. It’s about wrapping political decisions in technocratic jargon until nobody remembers who was supposed to be in charge. You still get to vote, sure. But the question is: for what? National elections start to feel like choosing the flavor of frosting on a cake someone else already baked. With someone else’s recipe. And someone else’s rules about how many eggs you’re allowed to use. Call it what you want - shared governance, interdependence, modern integration. But don’t pretend it’s democratic. When your vote can’t change the law, when your government can’t defy the script, and when real power belongs to the unelected, then what you’ve got isn’t democracy. It’s bureaucracy with a flag.

The “EU” imposed this crazy fine not just on @X, but also on me personally, which is even more insane! Therefore, it would seem appropriate to apply our response not just to the EU, but also to the individuals who took this action against me.
Ted Cruz@tedcruz

The European Commission’s $140 million fine on @X is an abomination. It’s an attack on a great American job creator & it’s an attack on the free speech of every American. Trump should impose SANCTIONS until this travesty is reversed.

@Mangalawyer Yes, absolutely, they started using those colors, cyan and magenta, about 5 years ago in everything: series, movies, video games, logos, TV shows, banners. They're implemented in absolutely everything. Look at the K-pop Demon Hunter case as the ultimate example.
