🚨 The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch in the District of Columbia until 7PM today, 3/16. A Tornado Watch means that tornadoes are possible in the area. Very strong and dangerous winds may cause downed trees/branches, localized power outages, and damage to homes and buildings. BEFORE A TORNADO: - Secure loose outdoor objects like trash cans, outdoor furniture, and other items that could become dangerous flying debris during a tornado. - Charge your phone and other communication, medical, or assistive devices in case of a power outage. - Identify a safe space to shelter if a Tornado Warning is issued. Visit ready.dc.gov/pages/hazard-t… for more safety tips. DURING A TORNADO: - Go to the nearest sturdy building if you are outside or in a vehicle. - Move to an interior room on the lowest floor if possible. STAY AWAY from windows.

The @WashSpirit take the field for the 2026–27 season on Friday. When we first decided to build a soccer stadium in Buzzard Point, it was industrial and undeveloped land—with a power plant as the landmark. We unstuck the stuck project, and opened Audi Field in 2018. And in 2025, the Spirit delivered: 🏟️ Sold out Audi Field 3 times 🧑🏾‍🤝‍🧑🏼 Total 2025 attendance: 198,362 📈 Broke the club’s single-season attendance record ⚽ Advanced to the 2025 NWSL Championship Game Let’s make it another record-breaking season in the Sports Capital.

Reminder that Daylight Savings Time begins tomorrow—clocks "spring forward" at 2AM. Good news: Sun will set an hour later each day. Not-so-good news: Lose one hour of sleep tonight. Reset your manual clocks and rely on clocks that automatically update, like your phone.
