"ఒంటరిగా ఉన్నారా? ఇంకెందుకు ఆలస్యం.. ఈ యాప్ ఇన్‌స్టాల్ చేసుకోండి. అందమైన అమ్మాయిలు, ఆంటీలతో సరదాగా మాట్లాడండి. మీ రంగు, రూపంతో మాకు పనిలేదు." అంటూ సోషల్ మీడియాలో ఇబ్బడిముబ్బడిగా కనిపిస్తున్న ఈ యాడ్స్ వెనుక ఉన్నది తీయటి మాటలు కాదు.. నిలువునా దోచేసే సైబర్ కేటుగాళ్ల ఉచ్చు. యువత ఒంటరితనాన్ని ఆసరాగా చేసుకుని నేరగాళ్లు పన్నుతున్న హనీట్రాప్ ఇది. ఈ వీడియోల్లో ఆకర్షణీయంగా కనిపిస్తున్న అమ్మాయిలు నిజం కాదు. అవన్నీ ఏఐ సాయంతో సృష్టించిన వీడియోలు. మాయమాటలకు బుట్టలో పడి వారు సూచించిన యాప్‌లను ఇన్‌స్టాల్ చేసుకుంటే ముప్పు కొనితెచ్చుకున్నట్లే. ఆ లింక్ ద్వారా యాప్ డౌన్‌లోడ్ చేసుకోగానే, మీ ఫోన్‌లోని కాంటాక్ట్స్, గ్యాలరీ మొత్తం వారి అధీనంలోకి వెళ్లిపోతాయి. ఇక రాత్రిపూట సరదాగా మాట్లాడుదమని వీడియో కాల్ చేస్తే.. అవతలి వైపు న్యూడ్ వీడియోలు ప్లే చేసి, స్క్రీన్‌పై ఉన్న మీ ముఖాన్ని రికార్డ్ చేస్తారు. ఆ తర్వాత దాన్ని మార్ఫింగ్ చేసి, మీ కాంటాక్ట్ లిస్ట్‌లోని బంధుమిత్రులకు పంపుతామంటూ బ్లాక్‌మెయిలింగ్‌ సెక్స్‌టార్షన్ కు దిగుతారు. పరువు పోతుందన్న భయంతో వారు అడిగినంత ఇచ్చుకుంటూ పోతే మీ బ్యాంకు ఖాతాలు ఖాళీ అవ్వడం ఖాయం. యూట్యూబ్, ఇన్‌స్టాగ్రామ్, ఫేస్‌బుక్ తదితర సామాజిక మాధ్యమాల్లో ఇలాంటి మోసపూరిత ప్రకటనలు ఇస్తున్న వారిపై చట్టప్రకారం కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటాం. ఆన్‌లైన్‌లో ఎవరూ మీకు ఊరికే స్నేహితులు కారు.. ఆ ఆకర్షణ వెనుక మీ డబ్బు, పరువు లాగేసే భారీ కుట్ర దాగి ఉందని గ్రహించాలి. క్షణికావేశంలో గుర్తుతెలియని ఫేక్ డేటింగ్, వీడియో కాలింగ్ యాప్స్ ఇన్‌స్టాల్ చేసుకుని జీవితాలను నాశనం చేసుకోవద్దు. రాత్రి వేళల్లోనే ఈ యాడ్స్ దర్శనమిస్తున్నాయి.. జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండండి. ఒకవేళ ఇప్పటికే ఎవరైనా ఇలాంటి సైబర్ వలలో చిక్కుకుంటే, పరువు పోతుందేమో అని భయపడకండి. వెంటనే 1930 టోల్ ఫ్రీ నెంబర్‌కు కాల్ చేయండి లేదా cybercrime.gov.in పోర్టల్‌లో ఫిర్యాదు చేయండి. బీ అలర్ట్! #CyberCrime #FakeDatingApps #HoneyTrap #Sextortion #BeAlert #CyberSecurity #HyderabadPolice

Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mr. V. C. Sajjanar, IPS inaugurated a network of 272 CCTV cameras at Aparna One Apartments, Shaikpet and participated in a cyber crime awareness programme for residents. The initiative aims to strengthen surveillance and promote cyber safety. He highlighted the role of CCTV in crime detection and warned citizens about cyber crimes such as digital arrest scams, investment frauds, and fake social media profiles, urging people not to click on suspicious links or respond to unknown messages.

𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 – 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟰 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 On 10-03-2026, a complaint was received from Dulipadu Akshaya @ Sai Shruthi (23 yrs), HR Executive at Best Group of Services Job Consultancy, Engineers Colony, Hyderabad, stating that an unknown male visited their office and demanded a refund regarding a job arranged through the consultancy. The complainant seated him in the counselling room and informed the owner Jaggavarapu Shashi Kiran Reddy (35 yrs). During the discussion, the accused suddenly attacked with a knife. At about 14:25 hrs, he came out of the room and stabbed the complainant on her left shoulder, after which she ran out for safety. The accused fled the scene. Staff later entered the counselling room and found Jaggavarapu Shashi Kiran Reddy lying with multiple stab injuries. He was shifted to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. A case was registered in Cr. No. 184/2026 of PS Madhura Nagar under relevant sections of BNS. Based on technical clues and field intelligence, police apprehended the accused Pollamari Setty Prabhu Kumar @ Shanu (19 yrs) near Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. During apprehension, police seized the knife used in the offence, an iPhone-15 and four stolen mobile phones from his possession. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court and remanded to judicial custody on 12-03-2026. Investigation is being carried out by Inspector H. Prabhakar, PS Madhura Nagar, under the guidance of ACP Banjara Hills Division, Jubilee Hills Zone, Hyderabad City.

ARREST OF CYBER CRIME OFFENDER HELD FOR DUPING INNOCENT VICTIMS WHO IS INVOLVED IN (44) PETITIONS BY CRIME TEAM S.R.NAGAR POLICE STATION On 28.01.2026, S.R. Nagar Police Station, under the leadership of Sri S. V. Raghavendra Rao, Assistant Commissioner of Police, S.R. Nagar Division, Sri B. Srinivas Reddy, Station House Officer, and Sri K. Srikanth, Detective Inspector of Police, with the assistance of Smt. K. Deena, Woman Head Constable, arrested a habitual cyber crime offender involved in multiple cases of online cheating, impersonation, and digital fraud by posing as a Cyber Crime Police Officer. CASE DETAILS Crime No. 868/2025 U/s 318(4), 319(2) BNS and Section 66(C), 66(D) of the IT Act The accused targeted innocent victims by creating fake female profiles on social media platforms, particularly ShareChat. After gaining the confidence of victims through online chats, he obtained their phone numbers and later contacted them by posing as a Cyber Crime Police Officer. By threatening victims with false allegations of obscene online activity and instilling fear of arrest, he extorted money under the guise of “fine amounts” through UPI and other digital payment modes. Victims were also instructed to factory reset their mobile phones to destroy digital evidence. DETAILS OF THE ACCUSED Name: Jala Sai Ram Reddy Father’s Name: Indrasena Reddy Age: 27 Years Occupation: Rapido Rider Caste: Reddy R/o: Karimnagar Native: Parkal, Puligilla, Warangal The accused was arrested and during interrogation confessed to his involvement in multiple cyber fraud cases In the present case, a student was cheated of ₹97,540/- through multiple digital transactions after being threatened by posing as a Cyber Crime Police Officer. After realizing the fraud, the victim lodged a complaint through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, leading to the investigation and arrest. During interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in multiple similar cyber fraud cases. Verification with the Technical team revealed that the accused is involved in 44 cyber fraud petitions, including several registered cases and numerous complaints on the NCRP portal across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and TamilNadu. Further investigation revealed that the accused, along with his associates, used multiple SIM cards, mobile phones, bank accounts, and UPI scanners to commit the offences. They often misused bank accounts of local shopkeepers by providing false reasons to route cheated money. The accused is a habitual and repeat cyber offender who exploited fear and impersonation to dupe victims. Public are advised to remain vigilant and note that Police never demand money or fines through phone calls, UPI, or any digital platforms. There is no concept of “Digital Arrest” in law. Any such calls should be immediately reported to the nearest police station or through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal S V RAGHAVENDRA RAO, Asst.
