Because I can't read their minds. But given that there is absolutely zero drawback to doing so and it instantaneously puts you in an environment where they can continue their abuse, you would need to be literally unable to understand the concept of incentives to think this was not a glaring issue.

On what criteria would they be denied? There are numerous stories of them getting in based on self-ID. Let's put it simple, do you think trans-women should be housed with cis-women in female prisons? If you do, then you have no means to stop this, and so you are tacitly allowing it.

Per capita, unfortunately, this is not true. But I grant that this is a complicated issue because a lot of sex crimes are tied up with intimate partner abuse that trans people are much more likely to experience. But again, that isn't my point. My point is, that you have no criteria by which you can tell the difference between a cis-male rapist claiming to be a woman to gain access to a woman's prison and a trans-woman rapist. It isn't difficult to be a rapist. But a rapist of women would much rather be a rapist in a woman's prison than a male one and there is literally no criteria in many jurisdictions now that prevents that from happening because of incoherent definitions of trans-identity.
