@Lockdown_81 base defense does not matter when you’re in sub packages or nickel most of the time

@DC_NFLDraft Our base defense is 3-4. We only have 2 off-ball linebackers starting regardless. What are we talking about

#Jets plan is to to run Minkah or VJ Payne in the slot as a big nickel Tie that in with how well Ponds and Brownlee fit the run from the slot CB will allow them to stay in nickel and be creative no matter the offensive formation The need for a third LB is less than we think

@GDJets68 No, I don’t think you’ll see a ton of time this year - but that is the role. I think he’ll play. I could see him being in the pipeline player waiting in the wings in the safety room Ponds definitely will lineup outside in some sets. Personally, I think he’ll start as a slot cb

This. The truth is, Ponds & Brownlee both fit the run so well as slot CBs. the Jets are building depth on offense and defense - if they can figure out the QB and HC and you could have something in 2027 and beyond

1) Arch Manning is special - outside of the first few games last season, he played like a guy who SHOULD be the #1 overall selection - and, that was with his OL and his WR doing him no justice whatsoever. 2) Drake Lindsay is a guy not enough people talk about with the top tier of this strong QB class. He needs to be included. 6'5'' and 230 pounds - he looks the part and has the arm talent to excel - I expect him to come out in 2028 and battle for the #1 overall spot 3) Sellers' traits will get an NFL front office salivating. He'll be a top 10 player in the draft. He has top-10 athleticism and arm talent but a UDFA processor. 4) Darian Menseh was my QB2 in the 2026 class right up to the day he went back to Duke 9and ultimately U of Miami). Based off of last year only, he'll start as my QB2 in this class

@BrooklynDomer I have not watched much of Carr with any intent, so I don't have an opinion on him...other than I fully expect him back in school for the 2027 season...
