Our puppy walkers are all finding it a bit of a challenge keeping the pups cool in this extended heat wave. Puppy walker Shayla came up with this idea of a nice cold treat for her new pup TPD Kova. Here is TPD Milo trying to work out what it is.

Well she started off as TPD Sloane then went to Andy’s family for a fresh start and a new name. They couldn’t decide between Skye and Raya. The decision is from now on it will be TPD Raya

The last visit of our 5 pups was to our dear Mary with TPD Harly. She has had some diarrhoea issues so Mary hasn’t yet been able to visit anywhere while the vets are running tests. She is still very bright and playful.

Jeanette. They usually know that they are not able to give their dog what he/she needs when they get to around 12 to 16 months as they are very demanding then.

TPD Skye had a brilliant first night in her new home with Andy’s family and his 2 Police dogs Freddy and Nala. She certainly looked at home and completely relaxed while I was there. Andy’s dog Freddy retires in September 2027 and maybe TPD Skye can take the lead.

Sadly it wasn’t working out for the puppy walkers who took on TPD Sloane last Monday. Happily Plymouth Police dog handler Andy and his family volunteered to look after TPD Sloan on Thursday and they have decided to rename her either TPD Skye or Raya.

My 3rd visit was to see Will and Shannon with TPD Bertie. He has been out on some very short car journeys, sat on the sea front watching everyone go by and a few other sight seeing expeditions. Just like his 4 siblings he is very bold.

My next port of call was TPD Kova with Shayla. He assessed as an extremely bold, determined possessive pup. Greeted me front on with confidence and a happy wagging tail.

While I was visiting TPD Beorn I saw first hand what a tough nut he is likely to be in his encounter with Hollie’s cat. The cat clearly wasn’t interested in engaging with TPD Beorn and attempted to exit but knocked a plant pot down in the process. TPD Beorn was not fazed.
