Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his enduring call for justice, dignity, and collective care. His work reminds us that building safe, equitable communities requires courage, compassion, and action from all of us.

For more than a decade, Ms. Sekeithia served at the front desk of the city's DV Intake Center, offering a warm welcome. As the first face many survivors encountered at the intake center, she held space for difficult stories with compassion and care. We wish her the best of luck!

☎️ Impact Review: In the first quarter of the new fiscal year, DC SAFE Advocates answered over 6,000 incoming calls to our 24/7 Response Line, provided housing to 1118 clients (plus 135 children) at our SAFE Space Shelter, helped clients file 89 Civil Protection Orders, & more!
