Alongside @JohnBennettBBC yesterday on @BBCSport for #finalscore I thought it was a good, open game, with #bhafc creating the better chances in the first half. Had Chris Riggs goal stood after HT, then i think #safc go on to win it. #epl @5liveSport #SUNBHA

English

Just the one encounter at the SoL between #SAFC & #BHAFC to date, back in 2004.
It was my full debut for @SunderlandAFC &
Adam Hinshelwood was playing for Brighton that day. His son Jack, now 20, will be playing this afternoon…I’m getting on!! 😟🤦🏼♂️😂 #epl #SUNBHA #Sunderland

English

Back on the🎙️tomorrow for #safc & #BHAFC for @5liveSport . @SunderlandAFC coming into it off the back of a disappointing performance & defeat at Port Vale in the Cup, while @OfficialBHAFC came up short against the League leaders at home in the #EPL #SUNBHA #finalscore #BBCsport

@Safcmbell No contact on Maduekes right foot…Presume you meant his left? It doesn’t get ‘trapped in’ like Keown suggests, It barely brushes the defender on the way. He can continue with his stride no problem, but decides to go down and ‘wins’ #Arsenal the pen…😐
English

@DC___6 Neither does the defender to be fair sliding in like that. In your day Danny 9 out of 10 refs are giving it. We have Var to decide what is clear and obvious. There was contact on Madueke’s right foot but was it clear and obvious and a penalty. Fuck knows. Leave it to the ref.
English

@lfcbias_0 @Connor_LFC8 @FA_PGMOL Probably best to concentrate on your Golf if that’s your conclusion after watching the clip…🙁
English

@Connor_LFC8 If you look at this, Van Dijk was going in studs up ( often does as he knows @FA_PGMOL won't punish him) and VD bottled the challenge! There's an age old saying in football " you get injured more when you bottle a tackle" VD got injured because he bottled out of the challenge!!!
English

When David Coote was on VAR and Pickford scizzor kicked Van dijk leaving him injured for 7-8 months 💔
Connor@Connor_LFC8
Whats the worst refereeing call you’ve ever seen?
English

@safctim Of course Tim, The side is obviously weaker with those players missing. He didn’t field a side full of U21’s though, he’s picked a side that should’ve had more than enough to beat a side bottom of League1. However, on a pitch that was ‘a leveller’, the lads didnt show enough…
English

@Ian_Crow3 If he says he’s fit to start, i’d start him & see how the game goes. The pitch is only going to cut up/worsen as the game goes on, so bringing him on later on wont be beneficial if the pitch is a concern. No issues with Diarra, Le Fee and Rigg as the starting Midfield 3 though 👍🏼
English

@DC___6 Don't necessarily disagree, but in Xhaka's case, with the condition of Port Vale's pitch and him only just coming back from his ankle injury, is it worth risking him from the start? Could have him on the bench for later. Would it be better starting with Diarra, Le Fee and Rigg?
English

@lorsehatitudes @Rez1362510 @ianbrown4354 And the ‘wing’ in Wing back suggests they can get forward…😐
English

@Rez1362510 @ianbrown4354 @DC___6 I mean, the “back” in wing back kind of intimates they’re in a back 5
English

@ianbrown4354 3 at the back 🙄. It only becomes ‘5 at the back’ when the opposition dominate the ball and your Wing backs are forced back.
If that’s the case against a side rooted to the bottom of L1, then god help us!! 😐
English

Wether you think it's a pen or not to say it's a foul by Rodri is absolutely ridiculous, people like him are running/Ruining VAR! 🤷🏼♂️🤣

🗣️ "That's why I'm a referee and you're not" 🗣️ "I actually think it's a foul by Rodri" Jay Bothroyd and Dermot Gallagher clash when discussing Rodri's claim for a penalty after a tackle from Elliot Anderson in the closing stages.
English

Dermot suggesting it’s a foul by Rodri and then stating “That’s why i’m a referee and you’re not” is alarming!
There’s contact in a match which doesn’t have to result in a foul, which is the case here, imo.
But, for Dermot to say Rodri fouled Anderson..😟🤦🏼♂️#refwatch #epl

English

@UnderTheLight73 Agree. It would be more of a foul by Anderson if anything, but he hasn’t clattered into him with high with his studs. It’s just the follow through from Rodri after the shot and they catch one another. It’s certainly not a foul by Rodri 🙁
English

@DC___6 No action required here but I don’t see any way shape or form this isn’t either a foul by Anderson or play on. What’s Rodri done wrong? 🤣
English

@Paul1990P @jermainebecks83 Not sure on that one Paul. If you knock it past the keeper and they bring you down, it’s irrelevant where the ball ends up.
Penalties are often given in this situation, where the keeper comes flying out and doesn’t get to it first.
English

@DC___6 @jermainebecks83 If you knock the ball past a keeper and it's clearly going out of play, even if the keeper touches you and you go down it isn't a penalty. Same rule should be applied here.
