@dufcgkm Graham hardly got a run of games and was thrown into games randomly so couldn't get into a rhythm. McMann was playing well as a left back under goodwin then got moved to LCB in a back 3 which I don't think is his best position.
Both decent enough with the right structure in place
English

@DCanalysis Graham is a terrible player so he will be an improvement there.
English

@DylanCu01985984 Why's that? McMann is a steady left back but don't think he is comfortable as a left centre back which he seemed to get played a lot last season. I'm not saying he's a great player but he certainly isn't as bad as some make out imo
English

@DCanalysis The fact you rate MCann tell me all I need to know 😂
English

@TheDailyArab83 Doesn't look good for a few that play his position. Yeah couple of sensible and solid signings so far but still need to get that gk and RCB sorted or it will be worth nothing!
English

@DCanalysis Holt was the plan B after Dunne decided to stay at St Mirren.
Bound to be covering for the inevitable departures before the season starts.
They really need to sort keeper and right sided defence now.
English

@TheDailyArab83 Will agree that it's low risk but still a strange one considering the cover currently in that position while also having no right sided centre back currently.
Mulgrew likely done, Graham was unsettled last season with selections which didn't help him imo
English

@DCanalysis Correction, 3 of the last 4 seasons because he spent 20/21 in Cyprus.
Back to back 4th place finishes with Partick Thistle who came up from league 1.
Sensible signing & extremely low risk unlike the majority that clown Asghar made.
English

@TheDailyArab83 Explain better equipped?
I'm not overly convinced but I get the reasoning to bring him in.
English

@DCanalysis Better equipped than any of those players we have and only a 1 year deal. Struggling to get my head around the sensible decisions we're making this window.
English

@ArabRossy Until they are no longer United players, I'll be counting them haha and Forgot Grimshaw. I do think he will be used mainly in midfield but he does cover FB. Still need a right sided centre back though. (or 2)
English

@allyftd @GjaMacphee Yeah still early enough but I would imagine these positions will be high up on the list of targets. Wouldn't be surprised if we hear of more comings/goings between now and the end of the week.
English

@DCanalysis @GjaMacphee Yeah that makes sense as well. Crucial we get in a decent RB though. And 2 central defenders, a goalkeeper and another striker. And replacements for Behich and Levitt if either leave!
English

@allyftd @GjaMacphee I actually think the opposite, I think we've signed him for the midfield with him being able to cover RB if/when required but time will tell on that one. Certainly a good option to have for both positions
English

@DCanalysis @GjaMacphee I’d imagine we’ve signed him predominantly as a RB (given it’s a clear weak area for us) but with the versatility to cover in midfield when required.
English

@GjaMacphee Played as a full back and as a centre midfielder. Played in midfielder for Morton last year and I think that's his best position but can cover a few positions which always helps.
