@ballsdotie I'd be a fan of Knight but we lack real quality in CM and I don't see him as the answer. Bosun Lawal and Azaz in the middle could be the answer in the long run. Would be interesting to see how they went for 60 min!

@barrysul @CiaronNoble98 Before that he had to fight for the 10 jersey at Munster against a very highly rated Healy! Crowley's proven his bottle already! Needs to show it tomorrow!

@CiaronNoble98 When given the chance two years ago he literally headed the team that won a Championship. He’s has proven himself plenty already. Sam has yet to do that at International level. It’s purely a coach’s decision at the end of day.

Huge opportunity for Jack Crowley to seize that 10 jersey tomorrow. He’s had to wait for this chance. But he has to put in a full 80 minute performance Both Crowley and Prendergast are quality talents. Equally, they show glimpses of brilliance but also poor patches of play.

@JamieHuddlest12 @neil_treacy I like the look of Murphy in Ulster at the moment but Crowley is clear of the competition in Ireland at the moment! Might be a different story in 12 month!

The vast, vast, vast majority of the baiting is coming from nameless, faceless social media pages. They will blame "the media", who at the very least will put their names and faces to an opinion.

@JamieHuddlest12 @neil_treacy Didn't Jack get consistently questioned by the media as he directed Ireland to a championship in his first season? The stuff on Prendergast is misdirected! He's not good enough for international level yet but Farrell is picking him! He should be the one criticised!

@88Looney @RuaidhriOC I agree but I would be careful about how we say it. I've had to catch myself on it a few times! It's not Same fault he's being selected when he's not ready! It's Farrell's!

@RuaidhriOC Can’t agree with him. We had two great 10’s in Jack and frawley which were basically cast aside for a lad with two starts for his club. Told about high ceilings and when he bulks up he’ll be world class but he wasn’t, and isn’t ready. The coaches should get the blame not Sam.

@hicksimon I'd keep McCarthy over Ryan. Man has been poor for years. Not sure how he's still in the squad. I know I'm a Munster fan but I'd love to see Byrne and Big E start in the 2nd row with McCarthy off the bench! Crowley at 10, Frawley on the bench. Timony at 7 and Doris dropped.

Think Joe McCarthy is very likely to get dropped. Two shockers in a row. Sam Prendergast to the bench but maybe not even as he doesn’t cover 12 and 15 the way Crowley does. Furlong, JGP and Kell to start. Backrow still doesn’t work but they’ll stick with it probably.

@offtheball Regardless of the pile on by mostly Munster supporters on Sam, the one thing is clear is that Crowley is little if no better, missed three tackles, handed ball back and missed touch in last 10 minutes, Harry Byrne has been the best Irish out half this year

The rot is now so entrenched in some fans that they'll say anything just to tear it all down. They are not true Irish rugby fans. They'll claim otherwise but its all recorded on here in black and white, and they'll block you for calling it out. 200+ like on this kind of stuff 😢

@grrogie85 @MrPitbull07 Why are you taking offense to me pointing out there was a grant there to encourage this? Someone could take an interest and see if there are still grants available (there are by the way) and decide to do it themselves...

People called him a fool. A disgrace to his heritage. Even a “waster.” But Randal Plunkett—death metal fan, vegan, and the 21st Baron of Dunsany—didn’t care. Seven years ago, the Irish nobleman made a radical decision: to let 300 hectares of his 650-hectare estate return to nature. No more livestock. No mowing, planting, or weeding. Just wild, unmanaged land. And while critics scoffed, nature roared back to life. Where there were once only three types of grass, there are now 23. Birds carried seeds, trees regenerated on their own—oak, ash, beech, black poplar. Insects swarmed in, followed by barn owls, sparrowhawks, even rare corncrakes. “I didn’t plant them,” says Plunkett. “The birds did.” He’s seen stoats, heard reports of red squirrels, and drawn botanists from Trinity College to study the revival. Dunsany is now Ireland’s first private rewilding site to join the European Rewilding Network. But it hasn’t been easy. Poachers. Hunters. Online threats. People outraged that a castle-owning baron would “let it all go to weeds.” “We’re great at preserving culture in Ireland,” Plunkett says. “But terrible at protecting nature.” Once a bodybuilding, steak-eating aristocrat, he’s now a fierce defender of the wild—running off hunters, braving backlash, and standing firm. And he’s not doing it for money. The estate survives through tillage farming and film production. The wild makes no profit. It simply lives. As the climate crisis accelerates and species vanish, Plunkett’s stand is more than rebellion. It’s a reminder: sometimes the bravest thing you can do is nothing at all. Let the land breathe. Let it remember what it once was. And maybe, let it teach us who we could be again.

@dplockhart He doesn't have to be a physical specimen but he has to have a basic level of physicality and he's a mile off that at the moment. I agree on what you're saying about the entire squad last night. Fairly damaging to Farrell I thought to be honest.

@DCasey810 Yeah but I suppose like a lot of tens sexton wasn’t a physical specimen either, especially early in his career. Last night was exposing for the entire Ireland squad, but most of all I think Sam will learn from the experience

Sam Prendergast is 22 years old. Was reading Johnny Sexton’s book again. He broke into the Leinster team when he was 23 and the Ireland team when he was 24. He had plenty of doubters then. Sam has an incredibly high ceiling. He gets slagged a lot, but wrong to write him off!

Prendergast is overhated. Yes hes currently a liability but he still does do much at an incredible level. These reps are key for his development (And I dont think Crowley/Byrne change the result)
