Join us this weekend to celebrate our patron Saint, St Cuthbert We will be celebrating St Cuthbert with two special services, a day pilgrimage from St Mary & St Cuthbert's Church to Finchale Priory to Durham Cathedral, along with family activities at the cathedral.

Join us as we celebrate the life of St Cuthbert at a great Patronal Festival Service tonight at 6pm. The service begins in darkness and the light grows as we carry our copy of the Lindisfarne Gospels through the Cathedral and make a pilgrimage to St Cuthbert’s Shrine.

Today is the feast day of our Patron Saint, St Cuthbert. Durham Cathedral exists as the final resting place of one of the North’s greatest saints: the man who lived a humble and prayerful life and who inspired many to follow in the footsteps of Christ.

Conservation work has started on the Father Smith Organ case ⛏️🪥 A team from Skillingtons are working on the organ case for the next few weeks and will be removing dust and surface dust, removing stubborn marks, polishing, and re-securing loose pieces of wood
