@rickvug @JasJohalBC I'm sitting at equally upset. Can't share more details as it was all done in-camera but what I can say is the ministry has let us / students down in not supporting these desperately needed capital projects.

@DConnellyNW @JasJohalBC I'm not sure if I'm more upset about this or the revelation that the district has the option to purchase an ideal site for the next middle school with no commitment from the province by the required deadline. Sites are rare and once they are gone, they are gone.

2 months later and STILL WAITING for funding announcement! We've been told funds are "earmarked" but have no idea what that actually means - meanwhile, another portable has been set up at Qayqayt. We are at a crisis point the NDP need to release the funds! #bced @JasJohalBC

Of the 5 yr $5 million mental health commitment made by NDP government in 2021, New West gets $52,000 / yr ($122,845 in 2021/22 for pandemic recovery). This funding ends in 2025/26 with no commitment on the table for further funding. When will NDP make a meaningful commitment?
