DET has been incredibly stingy vs LHP holding 4/5 starting LHP U their K line. Ragans, Bubic, Suarez, & Harrison all had 4 or less Ks vs Detroit.
Abbott on the season has a 10% K rate to RHH which DET profiles to have 7 in the lineup for this one.
This game also has massive weather delay upside which is always nice for attacking unders as we could have early upside pull if there’s a rain delay.
I think Abbott pitches better, but this is a brutal K spot and I’ll gladly trust DET to continue working gritty at bats.

Payton Tolle is back in the Majors after Sonny Gray was put on the 15-Day IL. Tolle should get 2 starts for the Red Sox, with the first being today against a Yankees team that has had issues with high velocity. The Yankees have faced 3 lefties with 94+ MPH fastballs this season: Reid Detmers: 7 IP - 9 Ks Steven Matz: 5 IP - 7 Ks Cole Ragans: 4.1 IP - 6 Ks Tolle has had a 11+ K/9 in minors last 2 seasons. Not only does Tolle feature a 97 MPH fastball, but he’s been throwing his curveball at a 12% rate in AAA.
