We hope all our veteran friends and their families are enjoying a peaceful pause this Christmas time. We have lost so many of our beloved veterans in recent years and at this time of year, of course, we treasure the memories of those who are no longer with us.

Yesterday we welcomed #MASB27 back to Hawarden! This beautiful Motor Anti-Submarine Boat is quite literally one of a kind; lovingly restored so she might serve to inspire future generations interested in learning more about the part such vessels played in the Second World War.

This time last week our Secretary & Treasurer @Victoria_Phipps was at Windsor Castle receiving an MBE from HRH Princess Anne for services to Veterans and the commemoration of the Second World War. Huge congratulations to Victoria and her family on this achievement! #proudmoment

So sorry to hear this of the passing of WWII veteran Frank Pendergast. It was wonderful getting to know him at #RHSChelsea this time last year. He was so warm, polite and content... as you say, a gentleman.
