The clear needs of the offseason were to get a #2 starter and an impact right handed bat to go along with Bregman. They did neither.

@BallParkBuzz This is exactly right, I think it’s more likely you see a change at Manager. I like Alex Cora a lot, but at a certain point what else can you change? The team routinely gets out to poor starts, plays bad defense and makes stupid mistakes on th basepaths. Not his fault, but…

I had this thought last night that I am going to get crushed for but I think it’s the reality of the situation. A lot of Red Sox fans want heads to roll, especially Craig Breslow. My question to all of those people is if Craig Breslow was choice #11 a few years ago, how much further down the list will the Red Sox have to go this time? Everybody will know that the Red Sox have gone through their top executives every 3-4 years since 2011. And they have a fan base who is yelling sell the team 9 and 10 games into the season after a season with 89 wins and a playoff appearance. I have a feeling that if you are one of those people calling for action, you won’t like the replacement options. I’m not saying I won’t be on the side calling for a move in the future, but you have to let the season play out past 10 games.
