Claude Opus 4.7 has officially moved into Visual Studio 🎉 It brings stronger reasoning, smoother edits, and a surprising amount of “wow, that actually understood my code” energy — all without leaving the IDE. Live since March 16, it’s built for big projects, tricky refactors, and developers who love a smart sidekick. Take it for a spin and see how it handles your toughest code paths. AI can get you 70% of the way through a legacy app conversion. Then the pain starts. Error handling, state management, weird data access, buried business logic. That’s where projects stall. Our latest blog breaks down why: hubs.li/Q04c2wy_0 Join our VELO launch tomorrow where we'll show what it takes to get through the last 30%: hubs.li/Q04c2l2M0

Microsoft just announced #ASPNETCore 2.3 hits end of support in April 2027. Their recommended migration path? .NET 10 + GitHub Copilot App Modernization. Here's my take: the C# upgrade isn't the hard part. Most teams can handle that. The hard part is what's sitting next to it: the VB6 module that runs payroll. The Access database that powers half the warehouse. The PowerBuilder app that 200 clinicians use every day. That's the code nobody wants to touch, and it's the code that Copilot App Modernization wasn't built for. Every end-of-support wave like this forces teams to look at their full stack. And when they do, they hit the 70% wall where AI tools that get you most of the way there, then leave you with months of manual rework to finish the job. That's exactly the problem we built VELO to solve. Fully modernized .NET/Blazor applications from legacy Microsoft code (VB6, Access, VBA, WebForms, PowerBuilder) at fixed price. hubs.li/Q04bxdPj0

Restructuring legacy apps used to be a years-long slog. Now? It’s an upload button. 📤 VELO generates clean C# and Razor pages while you watch. But since we know code isn't production until a human validates it, we're showing you the full workflow live. Live demos are the ultimate "hold my beer" of the tech world. On April 16, GAPVelocity AI is going live with Jeff Fritz (@csharpfritz) to showcase VELO™. We’re taking Microsoft Access (the zombie of the enterprise world) and transforming it into modern Blazor right before your eyes. Agentic AI pipeline? Yes. Deterministic code? Yes. See the live demo on April 16 1:30PM EDT, 17:30 UTC Register here (or keep maintaining that VB6 app, your call): hubs.li/Q049_76Z0

VB6 support is officially 18 years old today. In human years, it’s old enough to vote, buy a lottery ticket, and join the military, which is fitting, because running a VB6 app in 2026 requires the kind of bravery usually reserved for bomb disposal units. If your supply chain is still held together by a .vbp file and willpower, it’s time to stop living in 2008. Let’s give that legacy code the funeral it deserves. Here's my official apology for the past 18 years: hubs.li/Q049_d1c0 #vb6 #dotnet #mspartner

Still have VB6 in production? You’re not alone. After billions of lines modernized, one thing is clear: the conversion is the easy part. The real challenge is understanding what the app actually does before you move it to .NET. We broke down what we’ve learned the hard way: hubs.li/Q049DQKJ0 #VB6 #dotnet #AI #mspartner

Single-prompt AI workflows often hit a performance plateau. Multi-agent systems can push past it, but they usually require a massive amount of setup. Squad, an open source project built on GitHub Copilot, initializes a preconfigured AI team directly inside your repo. Learn how to run multi-agent workflows that stay inspectable, predictable, and collaborative. github.blog/ai-and-ml/gith…

🤔TRANSFORM/PIVOT doesn't exist in LINQ. Make-table queries don't exist in EF Core. Parameter queries lose their input dialogs. We cataloged every Access query type, what translates clean, what breaks, and what needs a total rethink. The migration guide we wished we had.
